TenergyRechargeable C Batteries and T9688 LCD Smart Battery Charger for NIMH/NICD AA/AAA/C/D/9V Batteries, 4 Pack C Size Battery Cells and LCD Charger

This a good smart charger for NiMh rechargeable batteries. It can be used to charge AAA, AA, C, D, and 9 volt batteries. You can charge 4 batteries at a time. The best feature is that it has individual charging displays for each battery, and it also charges each battery individually. Since it charges each battery individually, when a battery is fully charged that battery will stop charging and the others will continue to charge until all are fully charged. Each battery has it's own display so you can tell at a glance the charging progress of each battery. I have been using Tenergy D size NiMh batteries for several years in flameless candles and with the charger I had been using before I could never tell when the batteries were fully charged because there were no displays for the charging rate, and after 8 hours the charger would shut off with a timer. I always felt I may have been overcharging the batteries. With this T9688 smart charger I have found that the batteries are fully charged within 3.5 to 4.5 hours, and I know they are not being overcharged. Overall I am very happy with this charger.

This powers an Eton Elite 750 shortwave radio and is missed as soon as the batteries run low. So they are recharged immediately.The charge for that device lasts long enough to have to hunt for this charger (which really should have a permanent storage place assigned ;)Very hard to read the display to set up for initial discharge of the 4 D-Cells it is used with (came with the kit, iirc). They are TENERGY branded and look like the photos. Have to bend deep at the waist to get down to an angle where the display can be properly read - the font saying it is in discharge mode is tiny. Normally use a hand-held lens to look at it.The charge/discharge icons seem to be per cell (there are four of them when it is used for four batteries at once). It is a bit hard to tell if the animation it displays intends to say they are being drained (discharge) or charged. Too annoying to study animations like that and try to 'trend' them.Would rather have something more abstract, like an up arrow (charging) and a down arrow (discharging). The metaphor shear is a bit much, the way they did it.Temperature and outgassing are reasonable - as with all chargers it'd be best if they were more positive in how they shut down. It's NImH technology so that's comparatively safe. These are big batteries (D Cell).Did not check this listing to verify the batteries came with the charger - that's how it's remembered but may not be the case - just don't remember. Reviewing many months after the purchase.Very likely to buy this product again, if required (should last quite a while and has, so far).

I bought this produce a month ago. I also ordered additional batteries. I have charged D, AA, AAA batteries and it was easy to use.

Charger is versatile and saved me/ kept me away from a lot of woe. I needed two types of batteries to be charged Right Now ! and it got the job done quickly.

I wish it had (6) places for batteries to charge, instead of the (4) places. When batteries are fully charged, I would like to see a green light on the top of the charger, just like my tool chargers have..

I used to swear by Tenergy. Some of the Tenergy batteries I bought over a decade ago are still going strong.However, using brand new Tenergy rechargeables in this charger consistently got really hot. Other brands did the same thing. The charger now won’t work at all.Something changed with this brand. This charger is obviously not well designed or made. Waste of money.Also, Amazon, the warranty link doesn’t work in the iOS App.

Nice that there are several different offerings of the charger with whatever batteries that you want. I got D’s.
