Not up to the standard of its predecessor
This player falls well short of the sound quality of the iaudio9, which it supersedes - and it has far fewer functions (no FM radio, no mike & recording facility). Cowon should simply have kept the iaudio9 specifications & functions and increased the storage capacity. On balance just any-old OK mp3 player and somewhat disappointing to anyone who has owned its predecessor.

Cheap and without the Cowon magic sound!
I wanted a simple small Hi Res player for when I go running. This seemed to fit the bill. I have always loved Cowon products. I have a Plenue 2 Mark II for serious music listening and it is superb. It is the Jet Effect sound settings that are the big plus for any Cowon player. You can get the player to sound the way you want it to. This player is very plasticy, very cheap feeling. The UI is really good to be honest, once you get use to it. The sound level great as long as you select 'outside the EU' during set up. The Jet Effect is not the full equalizer I am use to and just did not hit the mark for me. Easy to drop and drag music folders but takes an age to transfer over. Weird USB cable. Battery life not great also. Dissapointed with Cowon - I do not think plastic is the way to go.

Do not but one!!!
Trying to be as honest as possible, Its a horrible piece of kit to use. The UI is one of the worse things ive had to try and navigate. Trying to fast forward or reversing inevitably leads you to the start or end of anything because of the lag and i dont need to be told every time i turn it on and try to turn it up what volume levels will damage my already broken hearing to the point where you cant continue to listen from where you left off so it starts again. It is now a pile of shattered components next to a wall. £109 pound better spent on butter.
