Good splitting axe for smaller pieces, not for rounds
This axe excelled in making smaller kindling pieces, Not a axe for splitting rounds. I like the length of the handle it’s perfect for the axe weight. This axe head was properly hung and is NOT LOOSE. This was good to see as I have another Prandi axe that was loose out of the box...This splitting axe does not stick as easily as a other splitting axes due to the taper of the splitting face.Over all I’m impressed with this axe. It’s worth having, being able to switch over to a lighter axe made me able to work longer hours Vs exclusively swinging that 8-12lb maul all day

Needs work but is a good axe overall
For the price this is a great splitting axe for smaller logs or to split halfs but is to small to split rounds. The handle feels good and is a great lengths for the weight of the head. The head does not come sharp and is rough around the edges. I suppose I expected to much for the price comparing it to my Gransfors axes. If you know how to properly sharpen an axe and remove the varnish and cost the handle in linseed oil it is a great small splitting axe for the money.
