Jurassic World Legacy Collection Extreme Chompin’ Tyrannosaurus Rex

Love JW toys and this is no exception. We gave the colossal trex and even though its awesome, this one is a better size for the lis to play with and use with the other toys. Nice detail and durable. We enjoy the whole line. Boys ages 7 3 and 1

This is an extremely nice item for the price and it arrived very quickly. Somehow the funds were processed so that technically I received this item before it was even paid for. I would be more happy if the funds would go out immediately when an item is bought so that I don't have to be watching for a month for the money to come out when I pay for an item.

A bit pricey but great toy

It should firstly be pointed out that this is not the Legacy Collection Tyrannosaurus. It uses the same sculpt (with slightly retooled arms), and has a different, green and brown paintjob; the Legacy Rex is tan and reddish brown.With that out of the way, on to my review of the figure.As stated, this is a repainted and slightly retooled version of the original Legacy Collection T. rex. It stands around 7 inches (17.78 cm) at the hip. The main body is a pale, greenish brown, with brown patterning on the back, neck, and snout. The underbelly and jaw are beige-ish, and the toe claws are painted a glossy black (bar the dewclaw); the claws on the arms are not painted. The eyes are a nice, bright yellow, and they stand out nicely against the greens.The main action feature is the jaws opening. This action is triggered by pressing a button on the neck, just behind the head. As with most of Mattel's larger dinosaurs, the sculpt is amazing, particularly on the head. Jurassic Park and Jurassic World's Tyrannosaurs have always had a unique, immediately recognizable look, and these figures have nailed that look. The only downside is that the factory paintjob, more often than not, makes it harder to see little details like scales and scutes in the skin. If you're the type to customize your figures, this can be easily fixed.Despite the downsides, I still think it's one of the best T. rex toys you can get. It looks like a Jurassic Park Rex, for a child it's a good size, and I'm sure they'd have fun with it.

Super invincible Pili is satisfied, and has already recommended it to our mothers! The details are great, the price is great, and other dinosaurs will also be bought. We plan to collect them all! Can I really judge giftability if I completely intended this for myself? Yes, because I absolutely loved it and would have loved to get it as a gift!Size is great, chompin action is fantastic, stability is surprisingly good in many poses. The tongue coming up when chompin is my favorite part. I hope to add other species to my collection soon.

My sons favorite toy. I wish he didn’t bring it in our bed. It’s super hard and gets taken everywhere. It likes to eat cereal and chicken nuggets and has taken a bath. It seems to be the alpha dinosaur of the pack and doesn’t take any crap. Doesn’t make annoying sounds which is a plus.
