Great tone
Use it all the way up for a fast chorus/leslie effect. Very musical and simple to use.

GREAT AND EASY TO USE CHORUS ! ! !
I have probably used every conceivable chorus pedal known to mankind on this planet.. from the industries favorite the BOSS bass chorus to more boutique type choruses priced in the hundreds of dollars... I had practically given up on them because they were either: 1- too noisy, 2- way to difficult to use with a variety of knobs to use to "tweak" your sound and 3- most of them weren't "true by-pass"......UNTIL...I tried this MXR MICRO CHORUS.... After reading the reviews on this pedal I thought,"well it can't hurt to try just once more"...and boy I am SO GLAD I gave it one last shot...Not only is this little baby built as solid as a tank, it is practically noise-less AND the one knob setting is sweet... you can simply dial in any type of chorusing speed/effect from very mild to lush to a leslie style setting... It is by far the best little chorus pedal that I have ever tried...I most certainly would HIGHLY recommend this pedal for anyone looking for a rich chorus effect and then some, in a small, simple to use, and inexpensive unit.I would also recommend purchasing the external power supplys well.A very small price to pay for a HUGE sounding pedal !!!! No lie ! : )MXR ROCKS !!!!!

Simple, simple, simple
I decided to sell my BOSS Super Chorus and go the MXR route. This is a nice and simple chorus pedal, sounds great. I recommend placing it in front of your amp and distortion / overdrive effects. Treat it the way you would treat a wah pedal - modulation before overdrive. I tried it in my amp's effects loop as well, but the effect is too overwhelming without a level knob to balance it out. Also, the Rate knob is more like a variable "setting" knob. As you turn it clockwise, you start to get different nuances in the effect, not just rate. I love the simplicity of it. It's nicely EQ'd, perhaps a little too much effect from a level standpoint, but if you put this nifty pedal in front of your amp and distortion / overdrive, you get the right amount of blend - just don't keep it on ALL the time. I usually have it set between min 7 o'clock to max 10 o'clock, but the higher rate settings are also nice and very Pink Floyd'y. Set it at 12 o'clock for Purple Rain. My chain: guitar -> Dunlop wah -> Phase 90 -> Micro Chorus -> TS808 clone -> Fender HRD212 amp -> FX send to BOSS TU-3 tuner and DD-7 delay pedals -> FX return. If you want more control over your chorus efect, get the MXR M134 instead.

Genius
This box gives you essentially 3 classic tones at the crank of a knob. It's perfect for working, gigging musicians who need simple analog modulation while still preserving your core tone's warmth and integrity.Tone #1 (dial kept very low) is a classic 70s flange. Not the heavy-resonating EVH stuff. Not the Tom Morello stuff. I'm talking about the pleasant, subtle analog flange from old Rush and Heart albums.Tone #2 (dial between 9 and 1 o'clock) is a juicy 80s chorus effect. When it's clean, it gives you that Police vibe. When it's dirty, it gives you a nice full distorted sound without getting too cheesey. The best "just enough" chorus tone on the market IMHO.Tone #3 (dial kept very high) is the classic leslie effect. Nobody uses this tone too often, but this box gets you there. If your band plays "Black Hole Sun," you've got it. Yes, I know it's a stereo leslie on the album, but what exactly do you expect? All three tones are so darn pleasant, warm, and otherwise *PERFECT* that it's kind of hard to believe. You can find fancier chorus pedals that will take you a long time to dial in all the parameters just so. Any chorus pedal will give you these three tones, but how many of them can give you these tones with just one knob and a price so low? Dunlop really had their heads screwed on straight when they designed this one. Five stars. The only downside: I have a tube-buffered effects loop, and this box hums like crazy when it's in the loop. Keep it in front of the amp.

Simple and solid
I've never had a problem with an MXR product. It does what it's supposed to do. Price is comparatively reasonable. It's a standard bud box size which I prefer, and it sounds good. Nothing really to complain about. Some people might prefer a more versatile pedal, but I enjoy the simplicity. Just set the speed and step on it. A working musicians tool

Noisy, noisy, noisy!
I really wanted to like this pedal, but ultimately, it was so noisy that I had to return it. The chorus is very warm and inspiring. From a subtle doubling to a wide vibrato type effect. The effect itself was beautiful and lush. the one knob operation was simple and effective. However, the background noise and hiss made it unusable. I tried it at various points in my signal chain, switched out cables and power supplies, in the effects loop of my Mesa Dual Rectifier, straight into the front of the amp... nothing seemed to alleviate the noise and hiss. Too bad, it would have been great to keep it and enjoy the sounds I was getting. The noise floor was simply too high. Amazon was great to deal with and processed the return quickly and without any fuss.

It does the thing.
Nice and easy to use 1 trick pony (maybe 3ish trick pony). It’s a subtle chorus and works great with overdrive for a very nice and sweet 80s sound. No volume drop like a lot of other choruses (there is actually a slight volume boost, but it’s not as extreme as the 80s ones). There’s almost a slight flanger/phaser sound to it. It does suck tone a bit (takes some brightness off) but that’s really only noticeable playing in your bedroom at low volumes. Worked great with my setup at practice.

Less is More
I just recieved it today. I plugged it in and was instantly impressed. This pedal is really the definition of "sometimes less is more". The single knob control makes it super easy to use and has a great range of sounds from super lush to "Leslie-ish" and everything in between. I already had the Phase 90 and the Micro Flanger, and so far I'm impressed with MXR's products. I actually run all my pedals into a Tech 21 Fly-Rig 5 Cali. There's also a Digitech Tone Driver (TS-9/808 knock off) on my board with a good ole Crybaby, Wah and this pedal compliments my entire setup.

Micro chorus pedal
Excellent chorus pedal for Luddites and those suffering from techno-fear. Plug in and turn the single control knob to go from a gentle, sweeping chorus to a more pronounced faster pulse. The pedal sounds great and there is no loss of top end when it is switched on, unlike some other pedals which rob the amp of its tone.

volume boost on activation,
boost way to much to put in front of amp and doesn't fit anywhere in my fx loop with other pedals.
