Works well, good value, nice for the hobby beekeepers
I used this uncapper on 21 medium frames of honey. Not all the frames were fully drawn and some were drawn a little wide. The tool performed well at uncapping the honey comb, the forks are very sharp as I learned when I slipped and poked my finger. It works well on the medium frames going the long way twice, but if the comb isn’t that wide you need to use it the other way near the end bars.I couldn’t get one long cap to come off like I’ve seen in videos but with a little more practice and holding the frames a different way I problem could. The wooden Handel did loosen up while I was using it but a quick twist and it tightened back up.Overall it’s a great little tool and gets the job done for a good price.

Not what I expected
I purchased this Adjustable Honey Uncapping Fork because I needed more people to be able to help with uncapping. I already have an older uncapping fork but it is not adjustable. So I thought this adjustable one would be even better than the original fork.Unfortunately, this adjustable unit does not perform very well - especially as compared to the original fork I have which is several years old and performs very well. The teeth on the new adjustable fork are not very sharp or pointed - especially when compared to the original uncapping fork. It pulls through the top of the wax caps - sometimes pulling the cells from the foundation. It does a lot of damage to cells instead of simply cutting - slicing through the top the cells opening or removing the wax cap.To say the least I a very disappointed with this fork and will be returning it since it is totally unusable. I won't use it because it does damage to my drawn comb that does not happen with my older uncapping fork that does a great job of cutting through the wax without damaging the cells.

Great Product, in the right situation
This product worked great for frames that are built out equal or just past the top bar of the frame. It works great if the frames are built out real straight as well. I did not try to go horizontally from side to side, but went from top to bottom and it was quick and easy. I also kept a roller nearby and would use it to hit any low points or areas where this tool could not reach. It is at least twice as fast as the traditional picker as long as you don't expect it to get every cap in every situation.

Works great
I had my doubts, but I am impressed, it removes a thin layer of wax. Highly recommend, I had used the hot knife before and a thin hot wire to cut.

It’s basically a two and one tool. And saves a lot of time
I saw a friend using one was totally impressed by how it performed and will never use a hot knife again.

Surprisingly impressed
I had not seen an uncapper like this before and was skeptical. Because I’ve never been completely satisfied with the heated capping knife I use, I figured it was worth a try. There are similar uncapping tools, but I liked that this had the ability adjust the angle of the tines. It takes some practice, and I don’t know that it will completely replace my heated knife, but I like it thus far. I bought it late in this years’ honey harvest season so only got to use it on a couple boxes, but I think it will become a main harvesting tool. As for the ability to change angles, I don’t know how it compares with the stationary ones, because I was only able to minimally experiment with changing it. But I like knowing that I can if changing the angle proves to be useful.
