My cure for plantars fasciitis
I love these sandals. As with most Birkenstocks, there is a break-in period, but it's totally worth it. I usually wear an 11W and could even do an 11.5 in closed shoes if it was possible to find them!! Size 42 fits perfectly with my heel seated comfortably in the heel cup and and big toe just short of the front lip. I started wearing Birkenstocks regularly this year after a terrible bout with plantars fasciitis... so painful. Birkenstocks with the firm cork foot bed and strong arch support have been a lifesaver.

Cute and comfy!
I own the Birkiflor version of these (I didn't realize they weren't leather when I bought them), and when my dog chewed a strap, I decided to purchase the leather version. Comfy, typical Birk fit, the toe loop does not bother me at all, in fact, I think it provides more support and stability for walking than the Arizona style. The leather is a little stiff at first, but by my 2nd time wearing these shoes, they adapted to my feet. Very cute for a Birkenstock.

Stylish comfort
The comfort of these shoes is amazing! The foot bed withstands my heavy feet and the leather straps keep the sandal fixed in place. I'm going with 4 stars as the sealant that was applied to the cork was overlapped onto the leather strap- I wouldn't expect sloppy craftsmanship for a name brand of shoes. Overall, excellent sandal!

My daughter looovveess these. She normally has a hard time with shoes as her feet are on the large side but she says these are conforming to her feet already!!!

I love Birks, but these were a bit too narrow in the toes for me.

Worth the break-in
Took awhile to break in, and one shoe was actally way more uncomfortable than the other. Was feeling some regret but as they broke in they started feeling good on my feet, and now they are all I wear. I would however say that the leather stretches out alot. I'm already on the last hole of the strap and I've only had them 6 months.

great, if you wear bandaids with them...
I may be the only person on the planet that does not find Birkenstocks to be comfortable...or maybe it's just this particular design. I still have scars where the leather strap cut into my ankles. If I wear bandaids where the top strap is, I can tolerate them for short distances. I wore them a few times outside because I thought they would break in...this doesn't seem to be working. Since I wore them outside, I will not return them, but I wish I could. I find the footbed to be too hard and the arch support hits in odd places for me.
