yes, it is a thunderbolt 3 cable
This is an actual Thunderbolt 3 cable, so if you have USB C devices that won't connect at full speed to your mac thunderbolt ports, this will do the trick and give you the full speed for USB devices. Also works well with regular thunderbolt equipment.

A good cable, but there are better options for cheaper
Belkin is a brand that I trust and used to recommend regularly, but when brands such as Ugreen and Anker are able to provide the same - if not better - quality products for cheaper? Well, it's getting more and more difficult to recommend Belkin.

A True Thunderbolt cable!
I picked up this cable to connect my Blackmagic Monitor 3G to my Mac Studio. The Monitor 3G requires a Thunderbolt 3 cable to work. I did not want to mess around with trial and error on this so I went with one of the known trustworthy companies for Mac accessories, Belkin.After confirming the photos presented had the proper Thunderbolt 3 imprint signifying proper licensing, it was a no brainer. The product arrived exactly as presented and worked perfectly right out of the box! I am very pleased with this purchase!Many other search results were only USB-C cables only and not USB-C connectors for Thunderbolt. Read descriptions and reviews carefully!

Delivers as promised
What more is there to say, it's a Thunderbolt cable and performs to Apple spec. I tested the transfer speed to my external SSD using the cable and I'm getting the full rating of the drive. I'm completely satisfied and recommend to others.

Charging & Display Port Alt. USB-C
Thought I would provide clarification on supported features, as some of these reviews contain old information for what I suspect was a previous version of this cable. This cable does in fact support 100w power delivery (says so on the box, and it charges my 2016 15" MacBook Pro), and also supports DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C. I primarily use this cable to connect a USB-C (Non-Thunderbolt 3) Dell Inspiron to a USB-C Dell Monitor (U3419W), and occasionally use it to connect my 2016 15" MacBook Pro and a Thunderbolt 3 Lenovo Thinkpad to the monitor as well without issue.
