Royal Magic Lethal Tender Coin / Card / Wallet Trick from Simple to Do, Very Visual, and a Real Shocker.

I've been a wannabe magician for years now, and have been suckered by a number of up-close tricks. This is perhaps one of the two top close-up tricks in magic (this and Jay Sankey's Holy Moly). This is the best kind of close-up trick: completely examinable. From card to coins to envelope, you come away nearly completely clean. It's a visual stunner.

The gaffed card was terribly obviously manipulated. The $0.50 again was horribly made. Obviously two poorly copied half's and mashed together.

Very fast service and a great product. Better then the one I bought in Las Vegas. It's a great effect and one that never fails to surprise. I love to see the look of amazement on peoples faces, young and old.

My husband has been wanting this for a while now after seeing it done for us. I’m sadly disappointed we got what I’m guessing is an older version of this. The billfold isn’t the one was saw in the kit originally it’s supposed to have a little slip on the inside to hide a coin and the Chinese coin doesn’t sit on the American coin well at all you can see that they are two “coins”. The card doesn’t hold the “half dollar” it falls off seconds after pick up not even enough time to slide into your hand. Super disappointed.Update- we tried to make the best of it getting the trick to work anyways and in the middle of the trick the magnet fell off :(

Originally I wasn't overly blown away by the Lethal Tender trick on it's own. I knew exactly how it was done and actually wanted the Chinese coin and half dollar for my sleight of hand coin magic. However, I've come around and changed my mind on this effect. After practicing it I worked out some handlings that will leave me "clean" at the end of the trick.This effect is perfect for beginners. It's super visual and easy to perform. For the intermediate magicians out there this is a great effect to buy. The Chinese coin is ideal for the Spellbound sleight as it matches perfectly with a half dollar. Place the half dollar gimmick on the Chinese coin and it's perfect for a Bobo switch routine.I gave it 4 stars because it's an awesome visual beginner trick that also works as the perfect companion for any sleight of hand routine. I took one star off for the gimmick that keeps falling off because it's a cheaper made coin and the quality shows. First I used super glue, then rubber cement to put it back together. Both held for a while but ultimately failed. Suprisingly what's held it together is putty. So if the glue that holds your gimmick together fails use poster putty like I did, it should do the trick.If you have the budget go for the more expensive version. The wallets probably better condition and the coin is more precision made. However, for the price this will do the trick.

The half dollar gimmick and brass coin are fine working pieces, but the playing card is too thin. I swapped out a Johnson precision magic card and it works much better.

Look for other versions of this effect. The gimmick is too weak/unreliable. Without revealing too much, it sometimes falls off during presentation- from day 1.
