Ignore the kitchen, its only half done! But this tap is amazing. It's been installed a few days and it is the most amazing quality, water from the filter tastes completely different to how it does from the actual tap so not sure what other reviews are talking about. The filter itself is about 6 inches tall, quite bulky, but I love the look of it, it's not a little petite looking thing, it's quite 'spaceship' looking, so to speak. Very modern.. I'm so happy with this tap, just gutted it's now 100 quid less hahaha

This is undoubtedly a well made well packaged tap, that we bought after doing extensive research to replace our old tap and under sink water filter system. The cartridge filter system sounds fantastic and whilst it perhaps (I don't know) filters out certain impurities or whatever from normal perfectly safe drinking water, it immediately caused our kettle to start clogging up with scale and leaving horrible residues in drinks of tea or coffee (1st photo attached). My family immediately started to complain about the horrible taste of the water, together with the horrible residue in tea/coffee cups, so my wife reverted to buying bottled water to use as we tried to sort the issue. We contacted Franke, who said they had never had any complaint with this new tap, and asked us to send water samples which we did, as we were happy to assist. Franke appeared to try to help, but they were slow in their responses, and started emails with "We are sorry for the delay" etc.. We tried replacement cartridges, kindly supplied by Franke to no avail. We felt we had an obligation to return this tap, as Franke stated they could not sort the issue quickly and we might have to cut our losses as it were. So reluctantly but decisively (as we had to conclude the matter), carefully disconnected the tap and repackaged it respectfully and properly with all components and returned it to Amazon, with the statement in the returns box that we were returning the product due to poor performance. Amazon duly refunded us fully, which was correct and fair action as this tap does not do what it says it will do. We were obviously out of pocket for plumbing costs.We reconnected our old tap and water filter system and our drinking water quality improved immediately. Our kettle was still slightly "scaled up" from the Franke system water, but our coffee/tea dross in cups changed significantly on the first cup (2nd photo attached), and has been perfect ever since. Bottled water purchases stopped immediately.We have sent pictures of our old tap and connection system to Franke (that has been reinstalled) and are waiting to here from them as to what new 3 port taps we could use from them to incorporate our old, fantastic, water filter system. We are also still waiting to hear from Franke as to the water samples that they requested we send to them for analysis.In conclusion, I could not recommend this tap to anyone as, despite clearly been a very well made luxury product, it does not perform as expected. My daughter has a Brita water filter system that cost £20 and works simply and effectively for her at University - she has no kettle scale build up and her water tastes fine - I mention this as an example of a cheap and simple, but yet very effective product that works well. As such one would assume that this marvellous Swiss made state of the art (as implied in Franke's sales information) water filter system would be superb, but sadly in our experience it was not. Perhaps it was simply too good to be true! This review is sent as honest information to anyone who wishes to consider buying this product. I believe that Franke have more work to do on this system, and if they could perfect it I would consider buying this tap again, but only on a sale and return basis, as I like the design, but would not want the hassle again or the plumbing expense if it did not perform. Ideally I would like Franke to say, "We've got an improved filter and would like to send our plumber to install it on a sale or return basis" - obviously that is not going to happen! No doubt we will source a new 3 way tap from somewhere and move on!!

It is now about 1 month we had this water tap in our kitchen and we couldn't be happier. It does look really stylish and modern, it is practical and easy to use. Only small complain is that the the ooze should come down a bit lower to avoid so much splashing! But this is a real minor thing. But the best part is actually the filtered water, which has finally given our water a natural good test. We live in a hard water zone, and this tap had sorted the problem. We have already bought new filters, even if this one should last between 4 to 6 months. Very pleased and I would strongly recommend it.PS: we actually bought the tap at an exceptional sale price with Amazon, so thanks!

These are nice well made taps but the filter system is ludicrously expensive as the water slows to a trickle within a couple of weeks, they are far too expensive to keep changing so regularly. I'm very disappointed having previously owned the larger type of filter that goes under the sink and lasts 6 months to a year. Cheaper to buy too.

Really love the look of this tap in my new kitchen. The water from the water filter, tastes lovely smooth neutral flavour. Everywhere I looked it was nearly £800, it was on here for around £500!! Awesome find, very happy so far.

I feel in love with the look of this tap as soon as I saw it. It is really functional and works fantastically. The filter is great and there is no nasty residue from using it. I would fully recommend this tap because it looks great and works great, it is the all round package.

Vor ca. 3 Wochen hatte ich die Vital Semi-Pro Küchenarmatur von Franke gekauft. Die Ware wurde schnell geliefert und befand sich in einem Karton. Die Armatur lag in einem passend ausgeschnittenem Schaumstoffbett. Transportschäden sind dadurch nicht zu erwarten. Das eigentlich interessante an der Armatur ist das Filtersystem. Laut Hersteller sollen Rost und andere kleinste Gegenstände herausgefiltert werden. Wenn man sich den Filter ansieht kann man ganz sicher davon ausgehen, dass der Filter diese Dinge zurück hält. Das Besondere an diesem Filter ist die Fähigkeit unangenehme geschmackliche Beeinträchtigungen herauszufiltern. Unser Leitungswasser hat leider einen leicht bitteren Nachgeschmack und mit diesem Filter ist dieser Nachgeschmack herausgefiltert. Das Wasser ist mit dem Filter angenehm zutrinken. Durch die Aktivkohle sollte es möglich sein auch andere Rückstände wie Chlor oder Medikamente herauszufiltern. In neuesten Kläranlagen wird mit Hilfe von Aktivkohle Medikamentenrückstände und Hormone herausgefiltert. Man sollte nicht vergessen, dass die meisten Kläranlagen Medikamente, Hormone oder auch Kontrastmittel nicht herausfiltern können. Diese Rückstände fliessen nach wie vor zurück in die Flüsse und damit letztlich auch ins Trinkwasser. Aus meiner Sicht lohnt sich dieser Filter allemal. Das ewige schleppen von stillem Wasser hat nun ein Ende. Einzig der Listenpreis dieser Armatur ist eine Frechheit:1.200 EURO. Mittlerweile wird die Armatur bereits 600 EURO angeboten. Für den Filter verlangt Franke 35 EURO und muss alle 500 l ausgetauscht werden. Dafür ist das System sehr praktisch. Der Filter sitzt im Wasserhahn. Dadurch ist das Austauschen des Filters sehr leicht zu handhaben. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Purchasing this faucet was a big mistake. The faucet itself is very well built and works well; however the water filtering part does not. The water filter is supposed to be used for 500 l of water but I get about 15 liters out of it before there is only a trickle of water - the pressure is gone. I purchased a three pack of filters at 90 eur and it is very expensive considering that I get about 35 liters of filtered water out of 3 filters. The water in my home is already a drinking water quality as there are 2 filters in the incoming water supply. It is a shame because the faucet itself is very good; however, I will be replacing it as I don't like to have useless things in my home.
