Excellent SW -- Perfect FrontPage Replacement
Pros: This is well thought out, common-sense SW that enables one to make websites without learning code. I've tried several & this is absolutely the best. Much is intuitive with great tutorials & a user forum that is active with fast turrnaround on answersCons: You can't import an old website... but you can copy & paste and recreate an old one easily. They try hard, but picture albums are tough to do... but Jalbum (Jalbum.net) imbeds into these pages with ease.Summary: This is what FrontPage should have evolved into. This is absolutely THE BEST software for web development IF you don't want to learn code. That said, don't expect to just pick it up and use it.... you couldn't do that initially with FrontPage either.... there's much to learn here..... but what you're learning is not about code but about objects on your page and how they interact... it's the right understanding of what is on the page. I feel like I should know this at this level. The tutorials, the active forum, and at least three experts with their own websites offering tutorials and tips (referred to in the Basic tutorials under What's Next) make all the info you need available.I had several fairly complex (in terms of layout) FrontPage websites that I wanted to convert because I just got tired of the unreliability of the FrontPage Extensions on the Host site. At first I was frustrated that I couldn't just copy them but had to recreate, but as I did it ... much was just cut and paste objects from the old site.... and....I learned how the objects on the page interact..... and I had both of them done in just a couple of days.I've tried Namo WebEditor, CoffeeCup, and Compozer... and didn't like any of them.... I was ready to be a FrontPage die-hard.SiteSpinner Pro changed my mind.... this is really good software. You can either get a 15 day trial, or, read through the tutorials before you even try it and see if it makes sense to you:[…]Once I read through this, I bought it and won't be looking back.SiteSpinner Pro is the best!

ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR BEGINNERS
I consider myself to be more computer literate than most. That said I felt like punching my fist through the screen when using this program. Relatively simple tasks like copying and pasting text boxes over other boxes turned into a real nightmare. First for no apparent reason when I grabbed a box, other boxes would move instead. Sometimes the text box would appear in front of other boxes and other times it would not. I tried to analyze the differences and research through the help topics. The help information gave a lot of relatively simple sounding advice that made no sense to me. My wife (an old school programmer) took a look at this and couldn't figure it out either. She said it is basically object oriented programming. That may be fine if you are familiar with object oriented programming concepts but this is a joke for anybody new to programming. I am incredibly angry at how this program is being presented as a tool for "beginners." It felt like a just flushed $100 down the drain.

Frustrated...CREATE VIDEO TUTORIALS!!
CREATE MORE VIDEO TUTORIALS!! I bought SiteSpinner Pro because of all the good reviews it received. Everyone said it was so easy to use.WYSIWYG?? THAT'S NOT TRUE!! You actually need a class to understand this stuff. There are a couple of video tutorials posted on YouTube that were a little helpful to get you started on the home page. I NEED A LOT MORE. I wanted to create a website with embedded videos, forms, e-mail links, and a blog. This product comes with a tutorial but no one said it was something you have to read. I printed out the 329 page guide and it is discouraging to look at. The online tutorials are awful. You have to scroll through and read those too. There is a user forum that is very little help. There are many confused people on it just like me. I can upload pictures and change background pictures just fine. I even added music. But when it comes to building a form, it gets very complicated. I need a form so that customers can submit their name, address, email address, and type their requests. There are CODES needed to accomplish this. I also want them to click "submit" and have it come to my e-mail address. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING!! TO ALL OF YOU PEOPLE SAYING HOW GREAT THIS PRODUCT IS...POST VIDEO TUTORIALS ON YOUTUBE!!! I paid too much money for this program to give up. Even some of the people in the forum are offering to pay other people to create their website after purchasing this. They do give you a free year of web hosting through jumpline.com. I used jumpline's tools to create a temporary website until I can get this one up and running. Please respond if you posted a video tutorial that I would need to accomplish this task. THANKS!I have published my website since I posted this comment (Jan 1, 2011). It came out nicely. I doesn't take away from the frustration that I felt building it. I ended up using Form Builders from another online source (I used their free trail) and it provided the HTML codes. I also ended up purchasing a video converter program ($45) so that I could embed a video loop. The free downloads that I ran across did not work. Site Spinner did make it easy to publish the website (it only took about an hour to figure out what information to insert into the fields and to understand the error messages). It is not for the novice. Once again...MAKE MORE VIDEO TUTORIALS for those planning to buy this. Hopefully there are more posted by now.
