Like it, use it to reprogram my remote

So, I received this item, thinking that it would be easy to do everything, but unfortunately, fate had other plans. I don't know why, but when tried to program the new key fob, it triggered my car's anti-theft system. My car is 2013 Chevy Cruze. I followed the instructions to the "t", yet, my car kept on giving me the middle finger. I had to lock, unlock, open the door, lock, unlock to shut off my anti-theft system and start all over again. Many times over. So I had this "aha" moment and decided to swap out my circuits. The new key fob, did not give me a hard time. However, my old key fob, decided to mess with me. I could not pull apart the old key fob. It was like super glued. I even managed to stab my left thumb with a screwdriver. Ouch. Bleeding and frustrated, I decided to go to the garage and "YEET" my old key fob. Much to my dismay, it bounced several times on the hard concrete, not even a single scratch on it. I did it 7 times, before finally giving way to the treasure inside. I swapped out the guts, and it finally worked.Bottom line, if you want to buy this, take it to the dealership for programming if it does not work for you. Otherwise just get the key fob shell. Maybe my car was too old, too stubborn to take in a new programming from me. Hopefully if you buy this, it will work for you. Just do your research. Don't be like me and stab yourself with a screwdriver.....

I was a little skeptical that these would work, but I was willing to give it a shot. I was given only one key whith my 2015 cruze when I purchased in a couple months ago. The FOB did not work correctly. It would open the trunk and set off the alarm, but it would not lock or unlock the doors. This was troublesome because if you locked the doors using the button on the door, when you unlocked it with the key, the alarm would go off. This was avoidable by using the plunger on the door but then the trunk didn't lock and even though the car was locked, anyone could open the trunk. (This actually happened once while I was at work!) It arrived in excelent condition and visually appeared to be an exact match to the one I had. I had to leave it with the locksmith for an hour or so. He cut the blank to match my existing key. Amazingly, it programmed to the car exactly as the owner's manual said it was supposed to do. So, now I have two keys that will start the car and one where all the buttons work! Since I now know it works, I will probably get a couple more.

I took this to my local key shop. They cut and programmed it in less than 5 minutes and it works perfect.

I ordered this because we needed one asap that didn’t cost a ton. It does what we need it to do overall. The only complaint that I have that’s kind of annoying is that sometimes it will read the car from far away and sometimes it won’t. So we have to go right next to the vehicle to lock and unlock it when it acts up. (And it’s not too far of a distance, the vehicle is right by our apartment but we’re on the second floor. Never had an issue with our fobs before reaching that length to lock and unlock a vehicle)

2012 Chevy CruseThis thing was not easy to install. There are no told provided. Wish it came with punch.After I finally installed this I was happy it worked. The buttons are hard to presss. Not a reason to not buy. Hopefully they will ease with time.Glad you have it.

2014 chevy cruze and needed a replacement key remote. Really easy to install, just had to go on the website in the description to figure it out. Used my old key to activate the new key. Just started my car using the old key and right after put the new key to start the car again. Hopefully that helps, don't forget to have new key copied to activate.

bought them for my 2010 Camaro SS 6spd manual and they programmed up just perfect!What I did was carefully remove the plastic head off One my standard keys and swapped the key blade with the blank blade that came on the fob by simply driving out small pin that holds the key blade in the fob. (Faster and cheaper than getting new ones cut) Then just followed the instructions for programming with my spare key by inserting spare key turn on ignition for 10 seconds (but don't start) then remove spare key and quickly insert new fob with the swapped out blade turn on ignition for another 10 seconds (but don't start) and that was it.

Bought remote key fob and looks pretty good expected worse but feels solid. Got key cut thru GM dealer, Self programed to vehicle and was a slight intermitted issue with unlocking. Was delayed and sometimes took several tries. Addressed concerns after the key didn't unlock vehicle anymore. Ordered key fob Feb 1/20. arrived mid Feb. emailed seller Nov 2020 and response was oh you are out of 90 day warranty. no where is stated about warranty length. . wasn't satisfied with response re addressed concerns asking for help. answer was too bad. got amazon involved and wasn't able to help they asked seller to refund or warranty, seller response was no. very poor customer relationship. not standing behind product. Hopefully many can save their money and take business away from seller after reading negative review. Unable to contact with seller or amazon. frustrated and wont buy from or ever recommend to purchase from seller.

I actually had to bye to the first one got damaged in the shipping and when I got my second one it was amazing works great well sooner then expected and had it working my 2011 Chevy Cruze with in mabie 10 minutes or so the second one was much better thank you will order from this seller again if I need stuff like this

I tried to use the key portion from my old FOB but it didn't fit correctly in this case. It works but doesn't open and close properly. If you plan on getting the key cut and not use the old key, then you should be fine. The circuit board fit fine in the shell/case.

Good value. Happy with my purchase. YouTube helped me replace the key piece, which was a little finicky. Programming the key to the car was very easy with instructions provided.
