Making Love: Sexual Love the Divine Way

I received this book in audio form when I was 30 years old. My whole system went "yes" to what Barry said and I never looked back. I have lived my life according to this teaching for 25 years now and it has changed me totally as a woman (and I was blessed to have a partner who could hear it and apply it). I can speak from first hand experience of having put this teaching into application (together with the rest of Barry's teaching) and I give you my my word, if you live it, everything he says is TRUE. It takes discipline, one pointed commitment and no compromise from both partners. If you live it it will change you fundamentally to what you are as a man or woman behind the cultural sexual ignorance and persona. As a woman, you will discover a profundity within yourself your mind cannot imagine. I write this review from the heart and gratitude to have been blessed with having received this information, having the intuition to trust it, the fortitude to live it and been blessed with a partner who could live it too. This is a book of Truth, nothing less. If you can hear it and apply it, it will change you in a way you cannot imagine. If it was up to me, I would make sure every young woman and man approaching puberty would receive an edition of this book. It is the sexual education our society sorely lacks.

This book is interesting and gave a inspiring perspective that matched some of my own experiences. Although the author is reeeally on a spiritual trip that led him to write a delusional introduction about angels and halos. I took it as a metaphor and got a lot out of his theories on how people should practice to focus on a real experience, lived in the present and awareness of the other. This book is important in a media and consumption saturated time where people are too distracted from the pleasures reality already can provide for them. It teaches empathy and especially young people who, nowadays, are consuming porn at a very young age should get in touch with these other perspectives.

With the rapid destruction of the world with the western culture growing like a disease on this planet more and more through mans sexuality and woman's unconsciousness and compromise to it.This book is More important than the bible or any religious material on earth... Not only this book but this man and his teaching.True awareness and conversion from often violent ,exciting, negative full of feelings, and emotions, dominating and degrading man power over others and mind manipulative robotic possession AKA " very normal sex"To conscious, gentle, still, pure, no thoughts, Loving pure words and acknowledgment of love and beauty, no thinking or excitement emotions or feelings, just soft love making is the key to unlock to true self awareness and "enlightenment" in this existence.If you try to live the spiritual life without this knowledge Barry speaks of you will find yourself having a very hard time living in a constant state of uninterrupted now due to your sexual emotions and thoughts creating feelings and excitement dominating your mind and body.Another way to state my point is "This is a must read and have no doubt along with every other one of his books and audio tapes"BlessingsDavid

Barry Long is perhaps one of the few enlightened beings that has existed on earth. We must look to him for guidance or else we’ll remain lost in a sex obsessed world. If you want to experience heaven on earth, peace on earth, love on earth here and now, read this book. Read it with an open mind as you will feel his every word touch every corner of your body and mind.

In this book, Barry Long spells out his vision of human sexuality, its failings, and the ways in which we can restore it to its original divinity. While influenced by tantra, this book is completely different than many other 'manuals' for sacred sexuality. Long is clear, concise, and at times quite blunt as he lays out both the obstacles to sexual union and the methods to overcome them. He is never overly technical, which I greatly appreciated in reading this book. The material is presented in a grounded and matter-of-fact way, but also with respect and a deep spiritual understanding.If you are looking for a book that focuses on 'techniques' (i.e. breathwork, positions, mantras, etc.) this is certainly not the book for you. Long in several places argues that the majority of tantric teachers espouse practices that do little more than excite the body--and his message is completely the opposite. It is not about exciting the body, but about bringing consciousness into it. It is about gently and gradually removing the emotionality and attachment out of the sexual act, so that the true consciousness behind the union can begin to emerge. While this is certainly no easy feat, in this book Barry Long delivers a clear and unique roadmap to opening the heart and bringing consciousness into sexuality.

This is a great book that I think all students should read in School. It will make our men aware and woman value themselves more. I resonated with the information this books cdelivers as what my soul knew already. Beautiful book that explaines it well to the point. A must read

This is the most profound book I have read in a very long time.It taught me much about myself. Much I felt but had no words for which to express.A deeper understanding of my love and attraction to the masculine has reopened my heart giving sexual love more hope and purpose. I have much to look forward to in my future:-) There are somethings we cannot do alone no matter how liberated.

I wish I had read this book in my 20s, it would have changed my life a lot earlier. When sex is discussed, it's often about how to please your partner etc. and there is so much (deep down) disappointment especially from women in their sex lives (even if they enjoy sex, there is often something missing). I thoroughly recommend this. It's about being fully present at all times, something which many people never are during sex.

Having put into practice the teachings of Barry Long, I once again know that my life is great. If you love woman and do not wish to hurt her then understand how to make love to her by reading this book and taking action!

This man is unusual to say the least but his ideas are certainly thought provoking and they rang a lot of bells for me.

It's a fantastic book everyone should read. so intimate supporting and helping to change deep structures. in couple life, in ANY life, is a must one should not miss.

Sometimes great wisdom come is small treasure. This book is so very small, but the simplicity is among the charms. Really great book that let you see love and emotions in new ways!
