A postage paid return envelope is included.The instructions were clear, and they get the results back in one week.A1c is an important indicator for long term blood glucose levels. It's good to be able to regularly (every couple of months) perform this test from home.

Do NOT buy this! The lab held onto my sample for nearly three weeks before telling me I hadn't sent in my consent form. I gave consent by phone a week ago and I STILL have not received my results! What a waste of time and money!

Incorrect Information in listing
Six large drops of blood are needed for this test. The test kit arrives with a large amount of advertising material trying to get you to buy everything from vitamins to clothing.

No RESULTS AT HOME WITH THIS
Deceptive description. No results at home; you have to send your blood through the mail to the supplier to get your A1C result. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS ITEM.

I am a physician who checks my own Hb A1C every three months. The Bayer kits are no longer being produced, and in my experience, they were giving QC errors half the time, which is a huge waste of money. This kit does not rely on a tiny single drop of blood and a metering device , like the Bayer kits did, It uses three full sized drops on three circles that are averaged, and the collection device is mailed in to CoreMedica, a College of American Pathologists accredited lab, which sends results quickly in the mail and tracks them for you. The price is actually less than the old Bayer kit. I am very pleased with the instructions for collection, the collection device, and the actual testing being done by an accredited medical laboratory rather than a home device.

Peace of mind.
Since ReliOn stopped their mail in tests, thought I'd give this a try. I like doing an A1C test every so often since diabetes is in the family. I don't trust the home meters. I prefer mailing to a real lab. This gave me great results which I hope are accurate because it said I have a perfect A1C. I only took away 1 star because the little plastic thing with a hole is much harder to collect blood on than the previous cards with circles you fill in with blood. Otherwise I was very happy with this test. Took a little over a week to get the results, but all good!
