This hat is incredibly stylish and functional at the same time. It fits snugly around your head so the wind doesn't blow it off, and it has a wind strap as a bonus if you go on a boat ride! The hat is well made good quality material. I love this hat so much, I have 3 in the same color because I never want to be without it!

I am not a hat girl, at all. I wear a beanie in the harsh NH winter to keep myself alive and that's about the only time you'll see headwear on me.....I just look weird in hats. But THIS hat, I feel beautiful in. I only purchased it because I was headed to a tropical island for vacation, and again.... survival. I didn't want to burn alive and my skin/face is not used to the tropical sun. It did its job while also making me look adorable and as my aunt put it - "like a famous movie star."I now wear this thing almost daily when I hop into our pool to cool off after work, on weekends hanging out with the fam, and anytime I might be out in the sun for a while. I have to wear my hair in a low bun at the back of my neck when it's on, but that's fine I've gotten used to it and with sunglasses it's a whole vibe.Ribbon is fraying after 3 months, but that could've been avoided by quickly dipping the ends in hot wax or hot glue when I got it. I'll probably trim them down and do exactly that to stop it from fraying any further. It's the tiniest bit heavy on the head but nothing uncomfortable, and interesting but very possible to pack for travel.

I purchased this hat for a beach vacation. Loved how it looked and best of all more than covered my face and head from harmful rays. I love that it is foldable and therefore packable. I recommend this hat. It got the job done all while looking stylish.

Fully covered under the sun and look elegant in the photos, when I don’t wear it on the road, I just fold it or roll it and stick under the cross back belt in the front, no hassle at all and won’t ruin the shape of the hat.

Finally had a trip to take this hat on. Packed it in my suitcase and hoped for the best. Opened it up after being in the bag for 2 days and it had not become misshapen. It provided excellent coverage for 7 days in the blazing sun. I like the fit and shape. Would recommend to others.

I bought this once right before Xmas to go to Mexico and lost it at the airport. It is a little expensive but it's well made and so flattering. I had worn it once to a pool party and everyone loved it and my face never was touched by the sun. I wear it outside to do light yard work around the house. Its so comfortable and i love how i feel with it on.

I love a big brim, but too big when its not stiff enough. The fabric is fine and the colors are perfect.

I don't care about style - my only concerns are:1) Sun protection (see below)2) Comfot/Wearability (if it's not comfortable you won't use it! But no problems here -see below)3) Longevity (currently unknown -see below )SUN PROTECTION: Pretty good! In extreme sun it under performs, in very very bright sun I was surprised how well it did, but it's never better than my UV umbrella- *LUX METER TEST EXPLANATION*: test performed standing, facing sun. DIRECT SUN = no obstruction of meter, HAT SHADE = lux meter still pointing towards sun but in the shade of the brim of the hat (so holding by my neck - not pointing through the hat, just the shade from the hat), HAT SHADE NEAR TOP = lux meter still in shade of hat but very close to where brim meets middle (the most densely woven region), UV UMBRELLA = same position but in shade of umbrella, TREE SHADE= self explanatory*- As you can see (pics) there are many holes that allow sun to hit face, they're not major but don't rely solely on this to keep your face healthy.- Has a wide coverage area, shading your chest (unless you're looking upwards, obviously) and some of your shoulders. Importantly, it shields your neck.COMFORT: very comfortable to wear, lightweight and doesn't make my head extra sweaty- chin strap is nice to avoid fly aways- inner tightening strap is nice if your head is smaller, though I keep mine untied or it's too tight. I'll still pull the straps tighter before putting it on to give a snugger fit, but it obviously loosens as I wear it (if I try to tie a bow it's too tight so I don't try tying anymore). If you have a smaller head and can use these straps, you can likely avoid the chin strap all together! If it feels too tight check that these aren't tied, they can make it super uncomfortable if they're tied too tightly.LONGEVITY: currently unknown. I've worn almost daily for ~20 days while walking my dog and going anywhere, and it seems fine. Shape holds up, haven't really folded it though, and I can re-bend it around my face while walking if needed
