Bio Bandage Powder For Fish .25oz

Using this bandage was simple. Catch your koi, apply iodine to wounds, let rest a few seconds then rinse. Apply a layer of powider to open sore or red area, then gently lay fish in the net back in the water so the powder seals. Reapply 1-2x week. I also used medicated food with this and it works wonders for injured koi. Caution : when the fish fights you don't let the tip of the container touch the koi or get wet as it clogs up and you have to take off the tip and clean it to get more powder out

I used it for several weeks on my fish, and it helped heal two rather minor ulcers from hole in the head and side. However, I used it in conjunction with the biobandage Gel. I think the powder works better than the gell or you can use the powder without the gel. the Gel tends to wash off with the fish entering back in the pond. This seems to stay on better. It isn't a 100% sure thing as some of the conditions that cause injuries are parasite based or not subject to treatment with this particular medication. I'd buy the powder again and recently have but I don't think I'll buy the gel again.

I can't recommend this product highly enough for tropical aquarium fish as well as pond fish. Successfully treated my betta's fin rot when literally nothing else would - pristine water, salt treatment, fungus meds, other gram-positive and negative antibiotics. Definitely give this a shot if you're stumped for treatment for external bacterial infection-type afflictions. I'm glad I did.

I had heard of the bio bandange and this is my second brand. This one works great for all types of injuries and scrapings.
