Another great Otterbox Case
Great protection and functionality. Yes, it makes your thin, light iPad Air 2 heavier and more bulky (it IS and Otterbox after all), but the trade off is that it just feels more protected. I'm using the case in conjunction with an Anker tempered glass screen protector and the fit is great; the rubber "lip" of the case aligns almost perfectly and creates a fully protected combo. Going back to the case, here's the pros/cons:Pros:-Great fit-very solid feel; the wrap-around magnetic closure makes it feel more protective than a simple non-wrapping flap. I believe that the cover itself is a vinyl covered piece of plastic (like the "body" of the case). It doesn't flex as much as the standard chipboard/cardboard covers on other cases and when it's closed, I feel like it could take a minor beating and survive.-I rarely need/use the rotation feature, but nice to be able to use the integrated stand in portrait mode if desiredCons:-Added bulk (I hesitated to put this as a "con" since in this case it seems to equal "more protection" but some folks will see it as a negative)

Incredible Purchase
So I bought the Otterbox Symmetry to replace a Logitech case I recently purchased (the other case was horrible....) Anyway, this case is probably the best case I ever purchased!!! It is so well made. It looks so rich and elegant. It feels so durable. Its easy to use. I love the 365 degree rotation. I am so happy with my purchase!! I finally have a great case to protect my ipad. A shout-out to the seller as well!! Cell 4 Less - great to deal with. Answered an email right away. Highly recommend this seller as well!!

Love the case, nice material...
Fantastic case. It does add weight to the iPad Air but I expected that- we all have otterbox cases on our phones and other iPads. I have dropped it down some stairs accidentally and not a scratch or a ding! I also have an intelliglass screen protector on the screen and it fits in the case just fine. I like the rotating option to hold the screen portrait or landscape. It's very sturdy.

Why the sleep function doesn't work and the flap doesn't hold shut...and how to fix it
This case is solid and appears to be well-constructed (so far)--with one exception that I'll get to in a minute. Ive gotten tired of replacing the cheap cases I've been buying for my iPaD, so I thought I would try something more solid. I use my iPad constantly, because I'm not able to read "real" books any more, I have to read them electronically. And I read a lot. This Otterbox is certainly solid. You can tell by the weight. Ooof! Well, it's no worse than holding up a thick hardbound book (my preferred reading position is horizontal, so I have to defy gravity when reading). The big design error in this case is the swiveling mechanism. Though a bit complicated, it does work, and you can turn the book...er I mean iPad to stand in either "landscape" or "portrait" mode. I don't think I'll be bothering with this much, though, so they could just have left this feature out and saved some trouble and weight. See, there are no detents in the swivel bearing; consequently, as a previous reviewer mentioned, it's necessary to fiddle about to get the iPad aligned correctly again from vertical to exactly horizontal when you close it again after standing it up in "portrait" mode. Even worse, it's easy to rotate the darn thing 180 degrees during this process, and--in effect--put it back together again backwards. This means that the magnet that holds down the closing flap has no corresponding magnet on the case to hold it down, and will flop about uselessly. That's because the mating magnet is now on the other side of the case. Also, the auto-sleep function will not work. This took me a while to figure out. I think it's the source off all the complaints about that feature not working. Maybe this is why it was so cheap, eh?So if the flap doesn't stay stuck to the case, or the sleep function doesn't work, try opening the case and rotating the pad 180 degrees.
