assembly was ok , the instructions are clear, after assembled I noticed a serious clanking sound from inside the main wheel casing,that part is factory assembled,I was two hours into assembly at that point so I. they would not answer the phone at iron man so I called Amazon to return it,,,even that would be a hassle after all the work assembling, I decided to see if I could figure out the prob,took it all apart to get to the wheel cover, took that apart (about 20 screws) and discovered the flywheel brackets were bent,had to take off the flywheel and with crowbar and hammer got it looking straight,,, I think I got it back together right ,it seems to me that this was manufactured wrong as the box was fine and it was deep inside the casing,,,Amazon is replacing the wheel housing for me ,,no response from Ironman people,,,next week I will have to take it all apart again I went with ironman because the other item (power Tower ) was amazingly sturdy,,,,hope after all this it tuns out a good choise,,,oh yeah the mat was missing

Will review again when we get some service. Purchased this a couple of weeks ago; put it together. The machine itself is very nice, but the electronic console reads an E2 error, and will not work. Have tried NUMEROUS times to reach the manufacturer over the past week and always get an answering machine. What next?!!Follow-up review:We were finally able to communicate with the manufacturer, AFTER we contacted Amazon about this defective item. Amazon sent us a second elliptical, with which we were able to change out the defective parts. The machine is now operating satisfactorily. Amazon Customer Service: you are AMAZING!!

The media could not be loaded.  This was a great priced product! I put it together and within 3 days it started making a 'knocking' noise from inside the large wheel housing. I sent the manufacturer pictures and a video of the problem, they said it sounds like the bearings are bad and I would have to return it for a refund! I have processed he return, but am curious how UPS will collect this, as it is quite large when assembled (I'm not going to dismantle it, as I no longer have the shipping boxes).The product arrived boxed as new and I can't believe I have the same problems as others had.

Have only used this product for a total of 3 hours and now it makes a terrible noise in the wheel casing. Sounds like a wheel bearing has gone out!!! A bad wheel bearing is the reason we replaced our old elliptical that we had for 7 years. A lot of money for 3 hours...now what to do??

Awesome machine. I got it for an amazing deal, compared to what it's being sold at right now. I use it 4-5 times a week. I've lost 20lbs so far!

Solid equipment, assembly was easy, parts fit together well.
