A Children Book that Adults will Even Enjoy
Yara's Tawari Tree is an exceptional children's book and has a storyline that is easy for children to read and understand. It is a touching story of a young girl and her connection to the environment. The story is about a girl who cared for and rescued an endangered tree in the jungle. This act of kindness in return causes much more in her life than she could have imagined. What also makes the book a great children's book is the illustrations used. The illustrations help the reader become more involved with the character and have a better understanding of the generosity of nature as well as beauty. What is enjoyed most from this book is the simplicity of the story and the way Dr.Lapid is able to create a sweet and honest tale for children. From the author and illustrator that created a children's book that tells an important story that can be shared with any child. The message of the story becomes personal and although it is not directly told what kindness can bring or nature we are able to imply that message from the story. This is a story I would recommend to be read to any child because of what the tale is able to show and bring to light in a simple way that children will become inspired by.

Gorgous Illustrations
The Illustrations are what drew me to this book, Paul the Snowman is one of my grandsons ( now 5) favourites to read on my Kindle - and when I saw that Yossi had written a story based in the Amazon I knew I would be interested in getting it to read to my grandkids, As an Artist I am always drawn to beautifully illustrated books for kids, this one has such beautiful detail it brings the Jungle to life. The tale Yossi has written is also a poignant message to teach our children - another reason for the purchase. Our family is Vegan, we try to be Plastic Free and buy ethically, so I am also happy that this book teaches our children that De-Forestation is a very bad thing and that we only have one planet, Man's arrogance needs to stop and I support any writer/illustrator who tries to get this message out to the next generationI'm adding to my review that the only issue is that there is no way of going to the beginning. Not sure if this is something that can be done in picture books with no chapters. But I found it a bit of a problem trying to re read it again. But my grandson is looking forward to the next Yara's book and he enjoyed it 2nd time around

A beautiful and inspiring story written in rhyme
"Yara's Tawari Tree" is a beautiful and inspiring story written in rhyme. Yara rescues a young tree, saving it from wildfires in the jungle. The story does have a slightly sad part in it, but it turns out extra happy because Yara's care for the young tree ends up saving her when she is older. It is a beautiful story with beautiful pictures that can be great for teaching kids to care for forests and preserve natural resources. The end of the book has a little bit of information about the rainforest and the Tawari tree. This book would be a great resource for parents as well as teachers and homeschoolers to read to children around ages 4-8. It is a fun way to learn to care for trees and preserve natural resources.

A Sweet Story About the Importance of Nature
A girl saves a tree endangered by deforestation, and later, when she becomes sick, the tree's bark provides the medicine she needs to get better.I loved that this story shows the connection and interdependence between humans and nature and how the loss of biodiversity can directly harm us, too. It's a very quick read with colorful illustrations, and one I'm sure we'll read again and again.

The gift of giving back
This wonderful book is another story filled with musicality. We journey into the Rainforest with the rhymes of a story that we should really pay attention too. The illustrations complete our imagination, and make us genuinely hear the sounds, feel the heat and the rustle of feathers and trees.Yara is such a sweet girl, and her gestures result in greatness. It's a valuable lesson of doing good and be kind to cultivate goodness and life.I also appreciate that I can learn from the books as I read them to children. I know now about the Tawari tree and how important it is to the balance of our planet.

The Healing Power of the Natural World
No one doubts the power of nature to restore the human spirit. Yara's Tawari Tree - written by Yossi Lapid and illustrated by Joanna Pasek - helps us see nature through the eyes of a child. We see how a simple act by a child recognizing the fragility of a small tree, caring enough to preserve it, can lead to an unexpected result. At a time when a new generation of children is growing up in a world where the results of climate change are becoming more apparent every day, this book gently introduces young readers to the subject - showing that even the simplest action can make a difference.

Lovely Illustrations and a Needed Message
Lovely illustrations support the rhythmic text in this book about a young girl who protects a tree in the Rainforest. In turn, the Tawari tree's bark saves Yara when she becomes gravely ill. The message to protect the natural habitat comes through clearly. The lush vegetation is beautiful to look at on each page. A great read together for families.

My Favourite Book!
Yossi Lapid does it again with another beautifully written story with a truly marvelous (and important!) theme.Yara's Tawari Tree follows a young girl named Yara in her rain forest, jungle hut. Her parrot friend brings her to a little tree seedling that is going to be cut down due to deforestation and together they save it! Years down the road, her family needs that tree's help and it delivers! This is a truly wonderful story with absolutely remarkable art work. The water colour style really fits with this story and is really beautiful! I'd love to see more stories with this art style. Give a big round of applause to the illustrator because W-O-W! Throw in the fact that deforestation is a really big issue these days, and you've got yourself a real winner!I love Yossi's stories because they are cute, fun and always bring something to the table. When you're looking for a quality children's story book with lots of pretty pictures and an important theme, why wouldn't you pick up this book? It hits all the marks that an educator or parents would want! There's also a cute rhyming scheme so you could make a fun song up about this story!Overall, I think this is a really lovely book and should be read by many parents, teachers and reading buddies alike! Stories like these are important to share and a fun, colourful way to spend time together.Five out of five stars!

Libro simple y bonito
Letras muy pequeñas pero la historia es tierna, simple de entender y bonitas ilustraciones. A mi niño le gustó y platicamos del Amazonas, de por qué hay que cuidar los árboles.
