Good Product
Did a good job, not too hard to learn and easy to read. for the price you cant go wrong. I would recommend this unit. Even if you've never used one of these (I hadn't) it got me the code I needed and told me what the issue was.

Received a YA-101 scanner and it worked fine - my experiences
Received a YA-101 scanner and it worked fine on my 2014 MB CLA250 when the check engine light lit up. Received the code - which reported an O2 sensor fault. SO NOTE when you get a code, while the unit will provide the code number and some generic info - ALWAYS do an online lookup of the code and include your car make and model to get more details and info relevant to YOUR CAR. In my case, my car has 4 O2 sensors - so I found more info form the code reader that identified the SPECIFIC SENSOR that faulted. Online references directed me to not panic and get the sensor replaced just yet - the recommendation was to use the code reader to TURN OFF the check engine light...and then continue using the vehicle to continue troubleshooting the 02 sensor. If the check engine light quickly lights up again each time after turning off the light - then yes, the specific O2 sensor may need checking. In my case, the check engine light NEVER RETURNED - and my online research for my car model said a hot day might have caused the alert.Another example - for my wife's old BMW, she got a check engine light and the code pointed to a transmission fault and the run a transmission diagnostics to get another code that would provide more detail. This unit cannot do that, SO AGAIN, I still looked up online info on that code and the CAR make and model. Again, the first troubleshooting step was to turn off the check again light and see if the fault returns soon after. In this case, the light did not turn back on and sources indicated a transmission Temp Sensor. My wife took this info to her mechanic that had the transmission testing units and determine it was INDEED the temp sensor and even though the fault did not return, she had the mechanic replace that sensor. All in all - this is a good reference tool to BEGIN the troubleshooting process. Online referencing can help you further and point you in more directions. Finally - this model has that USB port and cable to "upgrade" the unit firmware according to the item description. After more research, the links for download updates no longer exist and include a statement that the unit does not need updating.enjoy

Compact and Capable
Overall this OBDII Code Scanner delivers on all the basics and then some. It was able to quickly connect to my car. It clearly showed fault codes and clearing them was intuitive. I have a few other OBDII scanners/code readers (see photo) and this one pulls the same data (and more in some cases) as the others for OBDII data. On top of being able to read codes and clear them. You can use this to actually troubleshoot using the live data streams of the O2 sensors, A/F sensors, Long-term and Short-term fuel trims, as well as ~40 other live data pids. You also can view the Mode6 data. My older units will not pull Mode6 data and do not have air fuel sensor pids so it is showing as O2 pids even on newer cars with A/F sensors. All in all it does the job and for a $25ish code scanner this is a great bang for the buck. Side note, the cord measured 34" and was plenty long for me to use sitting in my front seat holding the unit.A couple things you should know that some may consider cons (but again it is a $25 tool)1. You can not select a set of pids when viewing live data you scroll up and down to see the pids you want2. There is no graphing of the streams3. There are a lot of abbreviations so you may need to look up some to know what your viewing4. Screen is on the small side (but that is also what makes it compact and convenient to store in a glove box)So even with the "Cons" for the price I feel you are getting a great tool that does the job it is meant to do so for me it is 5 stars.

Great deal and worked right out of the box on Ford Windstar
Okay with the $4 off coupon, it cost $15.99.. As others have said worked great right out of the box. Read code and cleared code in minutes.. VIN was also correct. Just got it today and am very pleased with this purchase.
