Bamba is a baked snack containing 50% peanuts, enriched in vitamins and iron and free of preservatives and food coloring. Due to its uniqueness, soft yet crispy, savory yet sweet. Bamba is loved by Israelis of all ages. Bamba is the bestselling snack in Israel, accounting for close to a quarter of the snacks market. 90% of Israeli households buy Bamba regularly and every day 1 million bags of Bamba are produced. Bamba was first produced in 1964 with a cheese flavor and in 1966 the cheese flavor was replaced in favor of peanut butter the winning flavor that has made Bamba part of Israeli culture. A 2008 study concluded that, due to the extensive consumption of Bamba by infants in Israel, peanut allergy is rare. A control group of Jewish children in the UK had ten times higher rates of allergy

Subtle Peanut Flavor
So, I ordered a case of these without ever having tasted them before. Why? Because I read an article on the most popular snacks in Israel, and I like peanuts and corn, and this snack was at the top of the list in the article. What you should know if you want to buy them:1. The flavor is subtle. It's not too salty, not cheesy, not too pea-nutty, not sweet, not crunchy, not fatty, not anything like Cheetos. A hundred and sixty calories per bag, with no Trans-fats, but with some saturated fat - it has peanuts, and there's palm oil. Actually, a bag has less calories than a Quaker Oats granola bar.2. A little goes a long way. I like these these because they satisfy my hunger cravings. I can eat a 160 calorie bag and not feel like I need another. In fact, I've eaten half a bag and been satisfied. Try doing that with potato chips.3. The faster you eat them, the more pea-nutty they taste.4. They're addicting, but not like they make you want to eat them every day. Not like potato chips, or Cheetos., or corn chips. Sugar and salt are addicting. These are less salty and have no sugar.5. Probably an acquired taste for some people. My granddaughter said they were bland. I said to her, "Chew two at the same time." She tried two and was like, "Oh yeah... " Then she popped three in her mouth.

great snack, short expiration date!
This product is great - it was "prescribed" to us by our 1 year old son's allergist. Our son has sensitivity to peanuts, but is not allergic to it. He has egg allergies. The allergist told us to give our son 7 Bamba sticks every other day, to help develop a tolerance to peanuts based on the LEAP study done in the U.K. He's been eating it for a month now and some days he's ok, some days he breaks out in a mild rash.Taste - salty, peanut-y, and overall yummy. They are a bit on the dry side, so they should definitely be served with a drink on the side.My only negative comment regarding this product - I ordered it on April 11, 2016, and got a whole box of product that expires in May 2016! Next time I hope the product will have a longer expiration date so we can take our time working through it!

I love them, the baby loves them too!
Our pediatrician suggested these peanut puffs for two reasons: 1. To start our early eater with a healthy snack to help her learn to eat and 2. To expose her to nuts and avoid a peanut allergy. He stated this is a staple snack for babies in Israel (much like American children are given Cheerios at one point) and Israel doesn't have peanut allergies. I have never had Cheetos, but my husband says the Bamba's are the same texture that melt quickly in your mouth. They are really tasty, I have a habit of eating them when feeding my daughter. We now order them in bulk! Have a chip clip on hand, they will stay fresh for a long time if you seal the bag. Otherwise they go stale in a day or two. My daughter loves having something she can hold and learn to feed herself with (under our supervision). She gets so excited when she sees the bag and she so confidently grabs onto the puffs and feeds herself.

Great snack for everyone in the family
Bamba is like a peanut butter cheese curl without the cheese. The taste is great and they don't taste salty or oily. They crush up nicely so even my baby was able to safely eat them, which was why I originally purchased them. There is now research showing that the early introduction of peanut products to babies 4-6 months old can prevent peanut allergy. I didn't like giving sticky peanut butter, and I don't always have time to bake, so Bamba was my tool to make sure the kids were eating peanuts. Both of my young children love to eat a snack of Bamba. I like that I can give them peanut butter without the worry of them choking, so Bamba is often a snack given in the car.I love to eat it too, and have found that some people crush them up to "bread" chicken. Bamba can also be used in dessert recipes. If you like peanuts and peanut butter, you will like Bamba.

Great Snack for Baby
These arrived on time and in good condition. The packaging was solid and there was no damage to the individual packages. My wife read some research on the low instances of peanut allergies in Israel and based on that we decided to give these a try. I can say they taste like salty peanut butter. The look and feel like a Cheetos. They disintegrate rapidly upon eating and I had no apprehension about giving them to my 10 month old girls. I do break them in half as my kids have a tendency to stuff more food into their mouths before they have finished chewing what they already have. This also helps give them a little more eating practice.Everyone is really happy with this product and we will be ordering more.

Delicious!
These are delicious and totally melt in your mouth so they are great for baby led weaning. My Jewish doctor recommended these die to the research done on the low number of children in Israel with nut allergies. The whole family will love these. My only issue with it wx that we bought a 24 bag box and they will expire within 2 weeks of receiving them. :/ More incentive to eat them up quick I guess.

Very short expiration date!
These little puffs are great, but we received our box on December 23rd and the โBest byโ date is for December 31st! I bought these for my 8 month old, but we are now making everyone eat bags of them so they will not go waste. I wish we had received a box with a longer date so that my baby could enjoy them like intended.

Pretty good! My baby loves them.
I started giving these to my six month old baby at the pediatricians suggestion. He said Bamba peanut butter snacks are used as a great way to see if your infant has any peanut allergy and as it turns out my baby has no allergy and loves these still as a one year old. I do too as a great snack. They ar crunchy like cheese puffs but with a peanut butter instead. The shipping is fast and arrives in a large box that says Bamba on the side.

Love these for introducing peanuts to baby
These are great snacks for babies when youโre trying to introduce allergens. They dissolve well in the mouth and use real peanut butter. Our baby loves them!
