NYX Professional Makeup Pump It Up Lip Plumper, Angelina, 0.28 Ounce

ABOUT ME: Stylish male, early 30's. I wanted some plumping effect since my lips are a little on the thin side, but to also draw away attention away from my large forehead by drawing attention to my other features. I also wanted some glossing effect for healthier looking lips w/o it being overtly obvious that I was wearing makeup, b/c I was looking for a more natural look.HOW THE PRODUCT WORKED FOR ME: (1.) it provided a nice plumping effect. To give an analogy: going from yellow to white teeth. Some people have less yellow, but don't quite get to white either. --- This is the product in a nutshell. It plumps, but it isn't going to provide a 180 (or is it 360?!?) effect.(2.) the gloss looked nice, but wasn't so over powering as to make it look like I was wearing a ton of product.(3.) it's a great value at $5.49!!!(4.) it's a GREAT value at $5.49!!!!(5.) it's a small tube, but it last a long time. Using it every day, multiple times throughout the day, the bottle lasted over a month (about a month & a half).(6.) if you have dry lips, this is also a great product to give them a healthier appearance.CONS:(1.) the only real con to this product is that it doesn't last all day. You will have to re-apply 2 or 3 times for all day coverage.

I wasn't looking for big, puffy, Angelina lips like this product's name hints at. I just wanted something to warm up my lips and get the circulation going. I have average size lips, but they are always so pale! I was hoping this lipgloss would stimulate them and get the blood flowing. Unfortunately, it gave all of the feeling of pumping blood, without results.PROS:- pretty color- easy to apply- you'll definitely feel your lips tingling within the first minute of using it- might work for others?CONS:- a little tacky, so you might need to put clear gloss over it- stings like crazy! like you rubbed a habanero pepper over your lips!!! ouch!- didn't plump my lips at all, even though the whole time I figured all that pain would amount to something- didn't increase circulation despite the tingling, so my lips stayed just as pale- continues to sting, even after you wipe off the glossOVERALL:Well, this product didn't work for me. If you want a kick out of stinging lip gloss, it's kind of funny for the first minute or two. Then you realize it just hurts and you got no reward. I like the color, but it's a little pale and doesn't look very good against average skin tone (I bet if you're really pale, or tanned you'd look better in it). It didn't plump...at all. Guess the search continues.

Pretty color, super neutral and the plumping feature is subtle, almost cooling-effect vs. tingly with other plumpers I've tried.Perfect for when you want a little glossy shine going on but no dramatic color - although I'm sure the ones in a different color are beautiful. It's not sticky, but you'll be aware of it (doesn't necessarily rub in, and it does last a while). Basically I'll sum up this way - I'm not an avid lip product wearer, I hate that lipstick and many lip products make my lips feel chapped and flaky. I've invested in LipSense and DO like those however, if you're willing to take a made-in-china substitute knowing full-well that there are questionable chemical ingredients, give this one a go. It's always a gamble when trying things like this and so many cheaper products are using yucky fillers - but frankly if you're OK with that, it looks good and applies nicely and lasts a while. Wins there.

This may not be a fair review, since I chose a color based on it having my name instead of choosing a color that I knew I would like! I chose Jessica even though it looked pretty glittery (and I hate glitter on my lips). The plumping action is obviously pretty minor: I felt a very slight tingling but I seen no juicy lips afterwards. A lot of plumping products leave my lips all red around the edges, so thankfully this didn't do the same thing since it didn't plump them at all which is a good thing I guess. When I first applied this I was satisfied since it was a nice shiny pink that still looked nice and subtle, but an hour later when I looked in the mirror....yikes! Glitter galore! The gloss itself had already worn away and what remained were 2 lips absolutely covered in silver glitter. Not a look for me at all. I am not dogging these Nyx glosses, I'll just have to pick a color that I like next time (like Elizabeth or Kim) instead of buying one based on the name alone! I'll probably repurchase a different color in the future, but these absolutely pale in comparison to the Butter Glosses (those things are heaven!).

I am a lip gloss junky; I will try anything so I have found a lot of duds! However, I love a product! It is super shiny, with just a tint of color (the gold looks great over lip stain, but alone is a little Ziggy Stardust, however, the pink looks great over a stain or alone) While it is shiny, it is not sticky like a lot of glosses or plumpers. This product also lacks the funny smell and taste that a lot of plumpers and glosses have. Now, the burn is a factor here-- it starts a few seconds after application and offers a sting-- but it is not as bad as some I have tried. The plump is also not a great as some other I have tried, but the plumping is visible and last for a while. Over I love it as a gloss and it is a passable plumper (hence the 4 stars, instead of 5). I will buy the product again as the price is great and the shipping was very fast.

Just got this today, very excited. My upper lip has always been small, almost none existent honestly and I've come to enjoy nyx products so I decided to give this a try. It was as an impulse buy cause the other items I wanted wouldn't ship unless I hit a certain amount of money. Lol. Anyways this is my first time trying a lip plumper and it isn't bad. I feel it's more a keen to eating rare peppermint cause it tingles on my lips but has a cooling sensation when I breath through my mouth. And I do feel like my lips have a little more fullness to them, definition of you will.All in all I would get it again. P.S- I choose the Angeline one cause it was the most neutral color and I love Angeline Jolie. 😉

Dont plump enough

habe das Produkt nicht wegen der eigentlichen Wirkung gekauft sondern wegen diesem leicht brennenden Minzegefühl auf den Lippen welches genauso ist wie ich es wollte. Die versprochene Wirkung,dass die Lippen ein bisschen voller werden wird hier wie bei den meisten Produkten nicht eingehalten was ich allerdings nicht weiter schlimm ist weil ich es wie gesagt nicht deswegen bestellt habe. Einen Punkt abzug gibt es allerdings wegen dem schweregefühl auf den Lippen und der viiiiiel zu klebrigen konsistenz, wovon ich leider kein großer Fan bin. fände es besser wenn es etwas leichter auf den Lippen liegen würde aber ansonsten tolles Produkt

, ich bezweifle ja, dass es gut für die Lippen ist, da es einen sehr chemischen Eindruck macht, aber es scheint zu funktionieren. Das Gefühl kann ich als ein leichtes Brennen, wie starke Durchblutung beschreiben. Kühlend und frisch. Nicht unangenehm! Die Textur ist super, etwas fester, sodass es auch lange bleibt und gut aufträgt. Hatte Bedenken, dass die Lippen angegriffen werden, war aber gar nicht der Fall. Ausprobieren wer neugierig ist!
