3.5 like but not what I'm used to.
The top of the "Y" are shorter than the military ones I once had. This means. I'm not used to it and the placement and hanging from the shirt are too close together. If you had these in the military you will get it. I love this style and how they connect flat compared to other styles.

a little on the short side
I am not a tall person (5'8"). I had to let these out as long as they would go and they are still a little tighter than I would like. I would rather they be longer and let me adjust them down. They do seem to be well made. I have used this type of shirt stay for many years.

Pretty Darn Cool
I purchased these just to try them out thinking they wouldn't work so good, but they work really well. They do take about 5-7 min to put on for a novice, but they're worth it. I work in the corporate environment, and my shirts were always coming un-tucked, winch causes the shirt to get wrinkled more easily (especially in the back). These prevent that. These attach to the sock, and the sides of the shirt, you get two in a pack.My suggestions:1) attach the "Y" portion to the shirt first, button up your shirt, and then attach to your socks, It's much easier that way. If you're really adventurous, you can attach them prior to putting your shirt or socks on and try it that way.2) I would make sure you increase the length of the elastic part to a comfortable amount. Having them to tight/short will be unnecessary and uncomfortable during the day.3) these types can come undone (if you're walking abunch and you didn't really put them on good) because they're not the pin-type, so before buying a whole slew, you might want to buy just one.

Decent product at a good price for civilians.
Pros:- holds well on both ends- easy to adjust length- minimal use of metal (Shirt stays I used in military school had more metal pieces that rusted over time and this created sharp edges that would occasionally poke into my leg. The plastic on these may break easier and be seen as lower quality than the metal, but I had no major issues and actually preferred it.)Cons:- the piece that holds the strap and clamp together breaks easily, so don't yank harshly on the strap when either end is attached to your shirt or socksConclusion:Decent product at a good price for civilians. Slightly more comfortable than metal end clamps in my opinion, but more prone to breaking. Maybe not the best option for daily rugged use, but perfect for getting that occasional extra sharp edge in your appearance.

oh what a relief it is!
If you find yourself bending and crawling at work like I do then this is the product for you. I hate the concept of tucking my shirt in but it's required by my company. I used to retuck my uniform shirt in 20 to 30 times a day. The only complaint I have is that I feel like my shirt is pulling hard on my shoulders all day which gave me headaches at first. I also had to tape the seams near the bottom because they rubbed my legs. The benefits far outway any inconvenience to me though.

More of a customer service issue
I ordered this product late last year and they arrived broken. One of the clasps had not been sewn properly and came off.I sent an email to the vendor and they told me to send them a picture of the product. I offered to send the damaged product back to them and they told me not to worry about it. So far so good. I am pleased with the response. I sent the picture and asked if it was good. They emailed back and said it was perfect and that they would take it from here.Fast forward to May 2013. I guess this product was not that important to me. After they told me they would send me a new product I took it off my list of things to remember. Since I already had a different brand of shirt stays on hand it didn't dawn on me to wonder where my order was and I have never heard from the company again. I will likely try to repair what I have but I am not at all pleased with Direct Premium Buys, LLC or Paul Sudman who was handling this matter.

Cool
They work however I only wore them once. Great idea, nothing wrong with the product, it requires practise to wear. I found it uncomfortable you may not.

Shirt stays are great, and this vendor is reliable
The shirt stays are awesome - I swear by them. I'm a swing dancer, and I wear a lot of vintage clothes, and most of that involves having your shirt tucked in. And of course through normal dancing all night your shirt always comes mostly untucked to produced that crappy-looking mushroom effect. I use the y-style shirt-stays because they keep your shirt nice and tucked in and your socks up. And I've started wearing them for non-dancing things when I just have a shirt tucked in in general, it really keeps it looking clean and sharp, instead of looking like you work at Radio Shack with your shirt billowing out over your belt. Oh yeah and the vendor is great too, quick delivery, no issues with the order, a great product for the price.

Quality issues
The metal hooks are made out of a soft metal and easily bend/break. Had to fix them myself and even after that gotta be really careful when using them.

Overall not satisfied.
The shipment took longer that expected. Tracking information is severely insufficient. The product itself is too short because I have long legs.Overall not satisfied.
