All hott, sexy, alpha......just like our DAMC guys. Walker and El's story.....beautiful, pulled at my heart strings, drew me in and made me cry. Each choice in life has a consequence. Each decision, a reaction.......thru their choices in life, Walker and El never stopped loving each other, their hearts remained true to each other, and their bond, unbreakable. I cried for Walker when he finally shared with El, his truth. I cried for El when she heard it. Their love endured pain and heartbreak! This is a slow burn second chance romance with an alpha that wasn't as stubborn as most of these Shadow alphas are. Anxiously awaiting Steele, Jeanne!

I absolutely loved Walkers book as i have for all Jeanne's books so far. But..... Walker is a 2nd chance slow burn romance that keeps you hooked and needing more the whole time that i didn't wanna pout it down. I am impossibly impatient so i bought the paperback just to read it asap :) the story between Waker and El starts 19 years before but ended to soon but they get their 2nd chance when El is in desperate need of help and the only one she know that can help her is Walker. In this read you will find out Walker has a bit of a big secret he's kept hiding for some time and when its revealed you will be shocked and awed at the same time. I don't wanna spoils so i will leave it at this has an amazing HEA that you don't wanna miss out on.

She has problems and he fixes them.Same old plot, right?WRONGAdd in an unforeseen physical impediment and a leading man with frequently voiced time limit expectations and a collaterally damaged phone and you have a blazing hot read. Trace and Ellie’s story was so amazing I read it in one setting.As always, the inclusion of secondary characters from previous books made me love this story more. I had a smile on my face for the entire scene where the “sisters” came over to offer moral support in the form of cupcakes, wine, and “running” commentaries. One of my new favorite couples written by this amazing author. Thank you Jeanne St. James....again.

He doesn’t need a woman in his life, but it would be nice to have the right one to come home to each night or after a mission. When his phone rings and he realizes that his past is calling, he decides that he will help her get out of the trouble she is currently in and then send her on her way again.Ellie Cooke was made for Trace and he once vowed that he would do anything to protect her and love her forever. She was so afraid that history would repeat itself that she gave up the man that held her heart. She made a choice years ago to marry someone else and that will come back to haunt her and may get her killed. Her only hope is that Trace and his fellow Shadow Security team can help her and save her life.I loved this story. All of the In the Shadow Security books are great. The men in them are very Alpha and lethal. They are determined to protect their family and are dangerous in their jobs. They are not to be messed with and this story shows that they will go to any extent to protect the ones they love and anyone they care about. These guys work very well together in their job and they act like brothers when they get together and begin picking on each other. The comradery of the Shadows makes me love these books more. I give this book a 5-star review and strongly suggest that you one-click it and all the others and devour them.

19 years ago Walker lost the love of his life. He enlisted to provide a life for them but didn't consult her first. Ellie lost her dad while he served and couldn't handle the thought of Walker dying. She breaks up with him and eventually marries another man. Suddenly out of the blue Walker hears from her. Her husband hooked up with a cartel, owed them money and was tortured to death. The cartel is after her to pay the debt but she's broke. Out of desperation she calls Walker for help. Turns out their feelings for each other are still alive and strong but first they have to find a way to protect her from the cartel. Excellent reading.

Walker and Ellie's story is one of the more emotional stories in the two series. I definitely teared up with this one.Ellie's husband has left her with a huge debt that she's unable to pay, which is going to cost her her life. Her only option is to get help from her first love and only man she ever really trusted, the man whose heart she broke years ago.Walker is reluctant to help Ellie, but he can't abandon her. He wants to prove to her that he's over her, though deep down he knows it's a lie.Walker and Ellie are forced to face the past in hope they will be able to work together to save Ellie's life. And just maybe, they may be able to make those dreams from long ago a reality.I loved that the two were able to have an adult conversation and admit the wrongs on both sides instead of just throwing the blame on one person. It's beautiful second chance romance, with some thrills and mystery.

Jeanne St. James is one of my favorite authors and definitely one that I always one-click and buy. Trace Walker and Ellie were childhood sweethearts, who made choices that tore them apart. I had a tough time with this one, but I like Shadow Security. I didn't connect as much with Ellie, but Walker I loved. Why stay in a marriage for 16 years with a man you didn't love? I kept wondering if her husband hadn't made the huge mistake would she still be married? This book was about the relationship between Walker and Ellie, coming back together after so many years. I felt like her problem was a small side-note to the story since there really wasn't a lot of action. Even the resolution seemed anti-climatic. As always the sexual passion in Jeanne's books is off the charts! I always love the other cast of characters who make an appearance , including my favorite Diesel! I look forward to reading Steele.

Absolutely loved this book and look forward to reading next in the series.
