Direct and good fit
Purchased for 2017 Screwfix SP185 Mountfield mower. The existing part shattered. It was easy to fit and required no special manipulation or adaption. Check the condition of your screw heads because this doesn't come with replacement fixing hardware. Given the likely condition at time of replacement I would have preferred if new screw were provided, as they are not a common design. This said, the screws on my 5 year model had just enough head to be reused.I replaced the blade at the same time because it has to come off anyway.I recommend mounting the mower on a bench with its front wheels in the air for replacing. This should prevent the oil or fuel leaking out.

Easy to fit part
The plastic belt guard under my Mountfield mower had broken and was clashing with the rotary blade. This spare part was easy to fit and has solved the problem.

Wrong product.
Despite being assured that this was the correct item for my lawnmower, it didn't fit properly. I attempted to fit it but when I started the mower ,the blade shredded the belt guard. Total waste of money. I'm sure it's ok for the correct mower but not for mine.
