Pretty good picks, just not for everyone
If you'll allow me, I'm going to compare these to Dunlop jazz III's and their variants since that's all I've used for as long as I can remember. These are high quality picks. You can tell that a lot of input, thought and care went into making these. And that's indicative of Ernie Ball. There's a distinct bevel all the way around the pick. Bear in mind, though, that this is a full sized pick, so the tip won't be quite as pointy as a jazz III but it's close. As a side note, the smaller versions of these picks are the exact dimensions of the original size jazz III, but even then , the tip is still not quite as pointy as a jazz III. We're talking just a hair or two off. But now we're getting pretty picky (pardon the pun). Back to the regular sized picks. The pick is extremely smooth and the material its made of makes for a very dry surface. Since my skin is extremely dry at the fingertips, these picks frequently fly out of my hands and into the black abyss where I can never find them again. I would suggest scrapping them up with a very coarse fingernail file. If you lay the pick flat on the table, it's very slightly more narrow on each side than, say, a standard sized Jazz III XL.I've tried to describe the picks as detailed as possible. While they are excellent picks and might be just right for you, the slight differences in dimension than what I am used and the dryness of the pick cause me to say no. I'll stick with the Dunlop Petrucci Jazz III.

Super-sharp, crisp sounding yet removes string noise.
I am still geeking out about these picks. Before, I was using Dunlop Max-Grips. Firstly, before I even plugged one of my guitars in, I noticed that acoustically, it was louder and crisper using the Ernie Ball Prodigy pick. When I plugged it in, I noticed a distinct 'crispness' over my previously beloved picks. On my down-tuned metal machine with super fat strings, these picks make WAY less string noise than my other normal picks, which I find interesting. I have worn out some picks in the past in an hour, but I've put a couple hours on one pick, and so far, I don't see any wear on it.I love these picks.

best chugging pick ever !!
i play metal riffs all day.. made my life so much easier.. accurate is the key word !! design has eliminated a lot of the noise caused by unnecessary contact between the pick and the string during fast riffing and chugging.. highly recommended... i have switched over from jazz 3 to the Prodigy after my first try... great job EB !!!

Love these, but the tips may not last (updated)
Updated...Using Prodigy 1.5 and 2.0 mini (the Jazz III style)... When brand new, these picks are awesome. Razor sharp tip, great sharp-angled bevel around the edge that is AMAZING for aggressive string scraping. The problem is, after using for a few hours, not even playing very hard, the tip wears down quite a bit. If a sharp tip is important to your playing/style, one band practice is about all you'll get out of each pick. They are also quite slippery if your hands sweat. It would be much better if they had a grip like the Dunlop Max-Grip.For the money, it would be better if they held their sharp tip a bit longer. They need to make this model with a good grippy texture, and maybe use Ultex which would last longer.

Best pick I’ve used
Went to Guitar Riot in Cleveland, OH to try out a fender custom shop and forgot to take a pick with me. My lucky day someone left a prodigy 1.5 on the amp head inside the tryout room. I bought the guitar and told the shop keep i was taking the pick i found too! They are all i use now-comfortable, accurate...there just awesome...if you don’t like thick picks don’t bother...but if you do, I got to believe you’ll love these. :)

After a bazillion years
the picks I've been using since I was a kid (Stubby Jazz) just got put on the shelf. (ugh... I just bought a cabinet of them too /facepalm)Anyhow, I play a wide range of music, alternate picking, sweeps, 180bpm all day long.... these are fantastic picks!! and the beveled edge works perfectly for pick slides.

While not my favorite pick, I appreciate what they’re doing
I’ve seen a lot of people rave about these so I’ve given them a shot on multiple occasions. However, this is definitely a pick you want to wear in as I find it’s out of the pack point to be a bit annoying. As someone who favors Dunlop Gator Grips or D’Addrio black ice this picks point was a bit too excessive for me but I absolutely loved the sound and attack it gave my strings without making them as harsh as the Gator Grip or as mid of the road of the Black Ice. I say give them a shot if you like pointed picks

Excellent picks
I bought the other Ernie Ball prodigy picks a while ago and love them. I figured I would try these to see how I would like the sharper point. I love these for their accuracy.I am no ultimate guitarist by any stretch of the imagination YET.... but for accuracy I love these for my electric guitar, not so much on my 12 string which I either use the other Ernie Ball or my fingers... or a simple trick is to rotate the pick and use one of the rounded “corners”.I love the thickness, shape and accuracy of these prodigy picks. I believe I will always use them.

Nice picks but expensive
At the price of 300% more than the average pick (£1.5 vs £0.50) I was expecting a sort of miracle-pick.Nothing miraculous happened but I must admit that the Prodigy 2mm is a very nice pick. I like thick picks but unfortunately, thick picks tend to produce mellow tones with a slightly slower attack (e.g. the Dunlop Delrin 500 Standard 2.0mm). The Prodigy 2mm manages to achieve the attack and tone of thinner picks with a 2mm pick. I think it is due to the bevel angle and the sharp point.I tried almost all the thick picks on the market and the other picks I found that sound like to the Prodigy 2mm are:- Dunlop Ultex Sharp 2.0mm (but it is bigger)- Dunlop Tortex Flex Jazz III XL 1.50mm (but it is smaller and thinner)- Dunlop Max Grip Jazz III Carbon Fibre (but it is tiny)Fortunately for me, I belong to the rare breed of guitar players who looses picks very rarely. The pack of 6 picks is likely to last me at least a couple of years. This of course providing the Prodigy are durable picks - something that only time will tell. I will update the review if the Prodigy picks start to show signs of fragility. If I needed to buy picks frequently, I would almost certainly stay away from the Prodigy 2mm. They are good and look cool but there are equally good picks on the market that cost less.

Definitely worth a try
It all comes down to personal opinion but for me this shape and size is excellent particularly for lead playing. They are easily held and I'd say the size falls somewhere between a jazz III and a Jaz III XL.The powder-like coating does a decent job of giving grip without being sticky and the durability of the tip holds up fantastically well over long periods. The material's tone for me sounds and feels sort of bang on in the middle of a nylon pick and tortex pick, not overly bright but certainly not muddy or dullI would love to see this in thinner options

Prodigious!
Love, love, love! Great shape and size for me, travels over the strings so smoothly. Has really inspired me to play more often and for longer, so I'm noticing a real improvement in my playing now.Do wish they had more of a grip, so they didn't spin in your fingers - add that, and this pick would be perfect as far as I am concerned. Will buy again and again.

The Pick of Destiny!!!
I was really surprised by this Pick!! Mainly because I ordered the wrong size XDXD it defaulted to mini and I wanted standard, but I thought, I’ll give it ago...... I was sooo surprised at how grippy and smooth and sharp the pick was.Stunning is effortless, picking/attacking the strings is like a knife through butter!!!!!I found out I hold my hand further up the pick (on standard size from Dunlop) but because of the mini aspect I am holding it closer to the point, meaning I can control the attack and speed easily and effortlessly. My number 1 go to nowMore importantlyI haven’t dropped this pick at all whilst playingBlues, rock, hard rock, metalFast and slow it can do it all for meBest happy mistake I’ve ever had!!!

Expensive picks, wear quickly!
I had high hopes for these picks as they claim all sorts of things with them. Initially, I was very happy and impressed by the feel and control I was getting, but after a couple of hours the first pick had dulled and lost it's edge. For the price, I think I expected more. Maybe if you're getting paid to play, you can sacrifice them, but not for bedroom guitarists!
