Great Toy
We bought this and another toy for my youngest grandson's first birthday, and this is the one he likes the most. He plays with it every day and so far hasn't been annoyed or frustrated by any aspect of it. He likes looking through to the back of the mail box to see if the cat or his parents are down there looking back at him with a camera. So far the cat hasn't taken any pictures but his parents have. He seems to love shaking the package and loves the noise it makes, although his parents don't love it after a long day at work! This is a nice sturdy toy and will probably last through his childhood, and retain a place of honor on the toy shelf long after he has outgrown it. It's a cheerful, fun toy for the little ones, and will give them some great fun, and some great memories. I wish this had been around when my three were babies. They would have had a great time with it. We are thoroughly satisfied with this purchase, and thrilled that we found him something he likes so much. You can't go wrong with purchasing this toy.

Super cute, but falling apart already!
My daughter (19 months, 15 adjusted), loves this mailbox so much. It's adorable, plays cute songs, comes with a few letters and a cute little box. We bought it to help with fine motor development, which it does. There's a tiny slot for the letters, which my daughter practices putting the letters into. It's smaller than I had expected, which isn't an issue, but the real problem is that we haven't even had it for 48 hours and the little stickers are already coming off! It has only been played with under my supervision for less than a few hours, my daughter hasn't so much as touched the little alphabet sticker that surrounds the front opening of the mailbox, but it's falling off! Not a huge deal, but annoying for how much we paid for it. Also, the whole back of the mailbox is open, which frustrates my daughter. Cute toy, but probably only worth $20.

Very entertaining
My 12 month old loves it and he doesn't care for many toys. Many different parts on it play music and/or speak when touched so he loves that. The little bird on top has a hilarious voice which cracks my son up, he tries to copy it. He very much enjoys opening and closing things AND putting objects inside of other objects which is why I bought this. Some people are complaining it doesn't have a back and letters fall out, so far that hasn't happened to us because there is a small raised lip on the back that tends to catch the letters from falling out but it's personal preference. My son likes to use the open back to put bigger objects inside and then retrieve them from the front so to each their own.. it's still a great toy. Your baby can take his/her own toys too and put them in the mailbox which is nice. The flag says something and the door talks as well as plays music. Comes with 3 plastic "letters" and a small "package" as well which rattles. This toy is one of the better ones in my (and my 1 y.O.) opinion.

Certainly pros & cons
I bought this toy for my daughter last year shortly after she was born to grow with. I personally think that the music is highly annoying and I'm not a fan of the voice FP used to narrate the actions on the toy. The letters and the package are fun for my daughter to put into the mail box, however, they easily fall out the back if she tries to put them into the mail box too quickly and then she becomes frustrated or confused as to why the pieces didn't stay in the mail box. It keeps her attention and she enjoys playing with it for the majority of the time. I'm not sure I'd purchase this toy for a friend just because the music/voice is so highly irritating after 1-2 plays.

Not very happy
I opened the box to wrap it for a birthday present. I noticed a battery rolling around in the box. So the battery compartment door was half way opened and i noticed that a battery was missing so i put the battery back in the toy and i got a screwdriver and tried to put the battery compartment door back on but the screw wouldnt tighten down. So i asked my husband if he could get the compartment door back on and he could not. You can turn the screw but it keeps on turning. I didnt put any pressure on the screw cause i didnt want to strip the screw. Didnt matter cause it was already stripped. Very Disappointed!!!

It's Adorable but Price Gouging Makes it Too Much
I really love this little mailbox. Unfortunately it's no longer in production.Originally it sold for $35-$50. Now that it isn't, sellers are trying to get upwards of $140 for it. It's sort of a tragedy because kids really love this and it is really good for development and pretend play. For the size of it, it's hard to justify a super high price for it over $50.The little package rattles. Both it and the letters are textured adding interest to younger ones. There are two learning modes to grow with your child (like all of the Laugh and Learn products). When you open the mailbox, it talks and sings. When you put the flag up and down it also talks and sings. Music is also triggered when mail is dropped the the top.The shell on the snail spins as does the rolly bit on the side. The little butterfly flicks back and forth. The birdie is on a spring. The back is open.I'm super excited to give this to my little one for Christmas. He loves the mailbox on the Laugh and Learn Playhouse.I hope so much that this is put back into production. It's a wonderful, wonderful toy!
