I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook, and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my husband too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)

I purchase this product of size 6/0 in order to target a smaller species of catfish. The hook looks durable and bends a little under reasonable force. I am presently using 9/0 hooks.After receiving the product, I was surprised it was the same size as my 9/0 stainless steel circle hooks. Now I am thinking this could be due to:1. There is no universal standard for manufacturing the hooks?2. There is a universal standard but either Mustad Manufacturer or the company that Manufacture my previous stainless steel circle hooks made a mistake with the size factor.Kindly see photographs.However, I would recommend that the seller put a size measurement chart (photograph) when advertising this product. This is to ensure that whoever is purchasing can review the actual size dimensions of the hook.Update: Giving this 4 stars instead of 3 stars because:I did catch those smaller species of catfish with this hook!. In fact I caught more fishes. I believe this was because the hook was thinner than my stainless steel hooks. This made it easy to pierce the fish's flesh quickly before they realize that they're targeted.Kindly see updated photographs.

I got the size 6 hooks for panfishing. The hooks seem to be well made. They seem to be similar in size to size 8 hook of regular eagle claws.The first day I caught 4 fish out of which 3 were perfectly lip hooked. the hook was easy to remove as well. one of the fish just fell off the hook but thankfully on the dock.The 4th one was hooked deeper.. :(I thought this ratio was not too promising.. eliminating gut hooking was the only reason I spend around 12 for these hook as opposed to the usual eagle claws for 2.But as days went on I kept catch fish with no gut hooks. They were nicely hooked on to the mouth. Sometimes removing the hook was bit tricky because of short shank and sometimes the hook would just fall off nicely.These are awesome hooks. If only they were a bit more affordable...

Mustad UltraPoint Demon Perfect In-Line Circle 1 Extra Fine Wire Hook (Pack of 25)I use these hooks from Mustad, as I have since I was in my teens. This Demon Perfect in line Circle hook is a strong sure way to baitfish, with sharp points and corner of the mouth regular hookups that require little setting of the hook. The fish literally hook themselves. Good enough to earn a 5 star rating right out of the box and I don't usually start out with a 5 star rating. If the quality falls off or the hooks ever come up dull or degraded from fishing them normally, maybe I will return to state as much and lower the rating stars. I like them a lot.

Great price for a dependable circle hook.I go threw these 50 at a time making deep drop rigs.These have a nice balance of thick enough to not bend,but thin enough to pierce tougher fish.I add a small offset with a pliers to increase hookup ratios.Used for grouper,snapper and tilefish.Best price I have found for a 50 pack of quality hooks.Lost a fifty pound grouper last year because I cheaped out on the chinese version.Stick with Mustad.

These are the best books for trophy flatheads. Have not lost a catfish as they hook themselves in the corner of their mouths and no damage to the fish. I have the 7/0 for the big ones. The price is worth the money. I have not had a failure with these hooks. They are very sharp. I would order one size bigger than other circle hooks as they are smaller than the same size eagle claw and other circle hooks.

This is Mustads answer to the owner and gamakatsu high end hook but at half the price. I use the 3/0 up through the jaw and out the eye on live eels for striped bass and the fish nearly always set the hook themselves. I've landed 34 lb fish on these tiny hooks ( 30lb test and 20lb max reel drag) so you can bet they are strong and reliable. It's great to change out hooks as much as I do and not have to worry about each hook costing a dollar.

These are my go to hooks when I go fishing for Mangrove Snapper. The circle hooks are sharp, and almost always hook the fish perfectly in the corner of the mouth. These hooks are great for threading on frozen shrimp for bait. I also use these hooks to fish for redfish using live shrimp hooked in the head just underneath the horns. These are great hooks. A must have in my tackle bag.

A hook is a hook but this one is good & strong

Perfect for flounder fishing... I’m usually a gamakatsu circle/octopus hook guy but these are great! They size a little smaller than other brands and I wish the shanks were longer but an excellently designed hook with a point that stays sharp over multiple uses.

I wasn’t sure whether i have to buy these hooks because I didn’t see many reviews on them. Honestly, i Never regret that i bought these hooks, these hooks are the best types for all types of fishes, especially Carp, catfish, and sheephead. When this type of hooks get the fish bite it, I wouldn’t let it out, because it is curved. OnceThe hook in the fish mouth, it is 100% you get the fish and The fish would’t be able to release itself back to the river

Los utilizo mucho para la pesca tipo "captura y suelta", ya que la forma que tiene evita que el pescado se trague el anzuelo, y solo se engancha de la orilla de la boca.

No me gustó para nada el tamaño, al parecer están al revés los números y no te dicen las medidas reales.
