These hooks are great! I use them mostly for catfishing and they are perfect. These hooks are SHARP right out of the pouch. I have not lost any fish due to the fish dislodging the hook with these. They are a bit hard to remove from the fish's mouth once landed, but it's not too bad.

Best hook out there!
Best hook out there! I catch and tag sharks for NOAA. These hooks have proven themselves beyond expectations. They hook well, easy to remove and keep on catching shark after shark without needing any sharpening. They never bend or fail. In a word, they just do the job...period!

The hooks work well with yellowfin, yellowtail and bluefin tuna
Extremely good value for the price. The local landing tackle shops sell the same hooks in an 8 pack for 15.00. Let's see, 25 hooks for 11.00...no brainer there. The hooks work well with live sardines as well as anchovy bait. It takes a little while to get used to "not setting the hook" as opposed with standard J hooks. Instead of swinging on a bite, just reel and the hook naturally slides to the corner of the mouth of the fish. This is important when dealing with toothy tuna who use mono and flouro like sun rotten dental floss.
