LandingZone 14-Port Docking Station for The 13-inch MacBook Air with 2 USB-C Ports [Compatible with MacBook Model A1932 Released 2018-2019, Not Compatible with 2020 MacBook Air]

Previous LandingZone products were fantastic. They were solid, very easy to use and replicated all the ports on the laptop. My wife is disabled, but even without the use of her hands she was able to maneuver her old Mac Air into the last LZ docking station which is why I picked up this one for you despite it being about 5x the price of other options. LZ clearly cheeped out on this one and only brought out one of the USB-C ports. In some cases this is fine, but if you want to run two monitors with a MacBook Air, you need to use both. So, while the dock has two HDMI ports, you can only use one of them at a time. There is a work around apparently where you can buy an adapter that goes from USB3 (old plug type before USB C) to HDMI, but you need to buy one that specifically calls out the ability to work with a Mac. Those adapters are almost the cost of the one of the smaller docking stations that you find that simply connect with a USB C plug.I see no advantage to this over the much smaller cheaper docks USB C docks you'll find. And, if you plan to run to external monitors, you can pick up a small dock and very cheap USB to HDMI dongle that you plug into the other USB C port and you are complete for 1/5th the cost. I'm very disappointed in this product from LandingZone given the quality of their previous products.

ended up spending a lot of money to find a docking station with lots of port access and an ability to run dual monitors off my Mac. I was disappointed when I opened this dock as what appeared to be a metal dock was a cheap plastic. upon using this docking station one of the HDMI ports was faulty and did not work with even using one monitor. called customer support and they were non-existent. very cheap product and would not recommend with the high price tag
