Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro good starter kit for my vlogging setup
The media could not be loaded. I ordered a compact Vlogger set of Canon cameras, lenses, and accessories, with a need for a microphone that can be attached to the camera. Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro I found on some YouTube blog reviews. So far, so good. Going to try and report back.

Need to purchase cord
The cord provided did not work with my camera! Was disappointing that I had to wait till new cord arrived to use it for a film project.Once having the correct cord it works fantastic!

horrible connection issues
When you get it to work, it actually is quite a nice microphone. But there are too many conditions that they're not telling you. For example, the connector is TRRS, so some cameras/audio recorders won't be having that... And the microphone will simply not "Activate," and you won't be able to record anything. Take Zoom F6 or H6.... Most professional recorders need XLR connections, and this microphone will need a converter and they'll sell you a separate DXLR converter which doesn't even work on some setups.Have a Zoom F6, tried everything, and can't get it to work. D3 --> Supplied TRRS to TRSS cable --> Deity DXLR converter --> XLR cable --> Zoom F6... Turn on phantom power, doesn't work, turn off, doesn't work. So, what's wrong here? I don't know, but why did they force me to buy that DXLR converter?I got it to work with a weird setup: D3 --> 3rd party TRRS to TRS (female) cable --> XLR cable with one end TRS (male) --> Zoom F6 with phantom power on.Why is it so complicated Deity?

garbage! no support from deity
This mic only worked for a few weeks after that the non user replaceable battery stopped charging rendering the mic useless. Deity does not respond to support requests through their website. This mic is now just useless. I noticed deity quickly released a v2 with an xlr option most likely after so many had issues with this battery. avoid deity!
