Nice guitar
Nice looking guitar. Plays nice. I brought it to a music shop. They needed to give the truss rod a quarter turn to get rid of a slight buzz. But then it was all good. they said it didn't need a set up because the action was very good. It sounds nice.I was going to exchange it for another one because it wasn't flawless. It has a glue smudge on the top that's not very noticeable. There is also a spot near the bottom when the top bulges slightly over the end block. Very slight, but I called and they sent me a replacement. Well, the replacement wasn't as nice at the first. The fretboard wasn't finished well and it didn't play as nice, so I sent back the replacement and kept the first one.So I guess they are not perfect for 300 bucks but still well worth the price as a starter guitar. I like the fact that its solid wood and good tuners. You won't find that combo in a new guitar for that price.

returned it....numerous reasons
Had a number of cosmetic issues ie., finish blems etc. QC must've been asleep at the wheel that day :) Had the same issue that many other MIC guitars do, poly finish applied way too thickly, causing visible runs esp in & around the soundhole & neck joint. My theory on this is that they do it on purpose to try & keep the tonewood from cracking on those long ocean voyages w/ zero humidity control. The truss rod was fully tightened on this one, yet the neck still showed a significant bow. The bridge was stained black to look like ebony, I couldn't tell what type of wood it was. The saddle had some kind of shim (paper, wood?) placed underneath it. Had a very visible crack/fissure in the top that ran from the upper bout down along one side of the soundhole, & underneath the pickguard. The crack/fissure appeared to go all the way thru the wood, as it could be seen on the inside of the top as well (using a lighted mirror/magnifier). It's possible that it was merely a grain imperfection but too close to call. Even it is wasn't a crack, the point is that it looked like a crack to me & I assume it would to other ppl as well. So taking no chances, back it went!

Great Sound Great Price
We bought this guitar for my son based on a recommendation from his guitar teacher. It has a solid top and sides with a very glossy finish. It is made in China, but seems to be extremely well made and obviously why it can be sold for such a great price. This guitar sounds almost as good as my $1,400.00 Martin.
