Great for the price I'm glad it comes with a spanner wrench. Comes lose sometimes. But that's common with these type of chucks. Run-out is good.

This is heavy duty, and I really like the wrench system for quick change on tooling

First impression was good. It was well packaged and oiled, rust free. Earl Diamond seems to really care about their products and their excellent Seller Rating led me to try this. That being said, it looks similar to less expensive drill chucks and the chuck is smooth for the first several turns and then binds, making it very tight to turn for a few turns and then becomes smooth again. For the 90 I paid, I'm not feeling the confidence that I made a wise choice and I will not bother to chuck it up and check for runout. It's too bad, I really wanted to find that "Diamond in the Rough" ;)... I will probably just shell out some extra cash for another Vertex Chuck

The first chuck I received had rusted internally and was seized up, totally unusable.The second chuck I received as a replacement had over .010” of runout. Absolutely useless for drilling small holes. The build quality and surface finishes on things seem to be OK. But their arbor supplier needs better quality control.

Well built and the chuck seems to be very straight and is easy to operate. However, the height of it severely limits the range of the milling machine compared to a keyed chuck.

The jaws can grab drill bits at an off angle, so check for drill concentric before drilling.
