Graduated Beaker Mug with Handle and Durable Bamboo Lid Borosilicate Glass Multi-Function Food Grade Measuring Cup 500ml

I work 12-hour night shift, usually 3 in a row, and love a decaf Irish coffee when I get home from work. This is a very cute and practical solution to decrease my prep time. One of these pitchers holds enough decaf coffee for me to make 3 Irish coffees, stores in the fridge, and all I have to do is pour and mix before bed to relax. Very good purchase for me!!!

I purchased this beaker mug to use with my AeroPress to get better consistency in my coffee brewing. Having read through the reviews, I was hesitant about buying it. After all, using it with an AeroPress meant I could end up dealing with near-boiling water and shards of glass!I am happy to say that after nearly two years of daily use the beaker is still holding up just fine!* No cracks or breaks in the glass.* The printing is still the same as it was the day I bought it.* The measurements are accurate for brewing (cooking).* It tolerates boiling hot water.* It has been refrigerated down to -2* F.* It has tolerated the pressure of me pushing down on an AeroPress directly into it.Again, in all honesty, I was hesitant. The reviews were concerning. However, after finding similar reviews (and pricing) on "established brand name" options, I decided to give it a try.Yes, you do need to hand wash it! No, you cannot hammer a stirrer into the inside of the glass and expect it to not break! That is the case with any thin borosilicate glass beaker!These are not your grandmom's thick Pyr*x measuring cups. If you need a thick glass measuring cup, buy one. Don't buy this and then complain when it doesn't tolerate conditions it was not designed for!

The pitcher appears to be big in the picture. I knew that it is only for 500 ml when I purchased. It came intact and well wrapped in the original box. It looks nice and is light. I've noticed it is fragile and could be damaged or broken if I am not careful at cleaning it or filling it because the glass is thin, the rim, beak and handle are made of glass. I did not find information written in English in the box. So I had to read Amazon information to remember specifications. It comes with a piece of small soft fabric pad. I guess it will be useful for drying or cleaning it. I am in a water restriction diet and it will be helpful to measure cold drinks or water. For better care, I did store it in a cabinet I use for my dinnerware. Did not put it with other glass pitchers or measuring jars. It's expensive but probably because of the type of glass used by the manufactured. Just in case I am not planning on putting in the dishwasher or microwave oven.

At my local, I use a dual-pint-glass system to warm my ale to what I consider a better drinking temperature, but trying to pour from the bar glass to my personal glass always spilled some from the (very) full pint I'm served. This Beaker Mug with a pour spout was the perfect solution to that vexing problem.Now, the only remaining "issue" is that, despite my careful explanation as to the proper pint-full mark, my friendly bartenders always pour me a full beaker and charge me for a pint. And I say issue as I don't consider that to be a problem per se, for me anyway.Update: Now on my second beaker, as clumsy me discovered that they are strong but not shatter-proof when dropped 1.5 meters to the bar room floor. D'oh!!!

Seemed like a simple enough mug. Just needed it for pouring hot water into coffee grounds in the mornings. After about 2 weeks I noticed a sort of "loose" feeling om the handle then noticed a crack at the bottom of the handle. Didn't even handle it roughly, just poured hot water in it and would put it away..

So far it hasn't failed me love the added bamboo lid, Overall it works.

Do not buy this product or the other Kinnose glass products. This is definitely not lab grade glass and will not hold up to higher temps. Mine cracked after using in the 100-120 F Degree range ina circular crack on the bottom. Amazon would not replace or refund since the time to return was over. They gave me several contact numbers or websites to contact Kinnose and nothing worked. Glad it wasn’t very expensive, disappointed in Amazon, customers could get hurt if this breaks during a process with hot liquids!

If you buy this, check it closely for manufacturing defects.I really wanted to like it the graduated beaker. I've been looking for a quality beaker this size to use as a coffee cup for some time.First thing I noticed was a chip in the glass on the side which would be dangerous if heated rapidly, e.g., in a microwave. Then I saw that the lid was split (see photo). And finally when the beaker was put on a flat surface, it wobbled.

I use it to keep boiled water in the fridge and use later to make up baby formula bottles for my grandchild.
