Delightful
As someone who has moved from a meat and dairy eaters (God, I still miss a good steak and some scrambled eggs) for very specific cardiovascular disease-related reasons, a decided alteration in taste and texture habits is required. I made that transition many years ago, since my wife was very much into organic and meatless dishes. I saw the Alpha Foods Buffalo Chik'n pot pie in the freezer section and grabbed one to try it out. Dang, it was good. Easy to cook and easy to eat. I cooked mine in an oven. Don't how it would fare in a microwave, but most anything heated in a microwave tastes like crap anyway. This baby, 25 minutes at 400 degrees in a real oven, was a treat. Wish it was a little bigger and a little cheaper, but this stuff ain't mass produced. Read the box. A few dingbats commenting here thought they were buying something with meat and dairy in it. Every side of the box says either plant-based or vegan. Some people's children. What can you d? For a VEGAN dish, this is delightful.

Not terrible, but not good either.
I like to try new vegetarian products when they turn up in the grocery stores. I almost gave these a hard pass because of the dumb company name, but we got the pot pie and the nuggets.First things first: it’s not a pot pie…it’s more of a round hot pocket or a hand pie in a hard biscuit shell. We baked ours in the oven for 30 minutes so the crust was crispy (maybe a little too crispy). These aren’t as horrible as the other reviews have said. That said…they aren’t great either. They taste like something a home cook made. Like a new recipe your spouse tried once and never quite perfected. You’d eat it, and it’s okay, but you’re not going to request it again and you sure wouldn’t pay money for it.I think these would be good if they stopped production, worked on the recipe a little bit, and then released them.

Recipe seems to have changed
The filling is not as tasty as before while the pastry is still delicious.

Tasty and Vegan! Had to go back to the store to buy more!
I'm rather embarrassed to admit I didn't read the box when I grabbed it from the freezer case at my local Sprouts Market. I was in a rush to get to work and when I finally pulled it out of the bag to heat it up, I realized that it was a vegan item. I was unsure but really hungry, so I tried it out. OMG, was it so good. It was creamy, spicy and filled with yummy goodness. I'm not a huge fan of meat-substitutes as they tend to be spongy and flavorless, but this little hand pie was off the charts good, in my humble opinion. I see there are some negative reviews about the other flavors and items but I'm willing to give them a shot just to see.

Great tasting healthy meal
Wish I could find these at Whole Foods, just found them at Sprouts and they have become my go to quick meal, several flavors, my favorite is the Spinach Feta!

Beefy Cheddar was not what was described
I saw the Beefy Cheddar in the frozen section and it caught my eye; especially since I could see the plant based label. I bought it, cooked it 2 minutes, and let it sit for 2 minutes. Upon taking the first bite, I only tasted the crust and it was a nice taste. Next bite I get some of the filling; now the taste wasn't nice. The texture wasn't of chunks and cheese, but of a solid mass that tasted like salt, pepper, smoke, and sadness. I had low expectations given that it is a meat substitute, but I have never been so disappointed in my life. My dad could tell me I'm adopted and I still wouldn't be in such a displeased state. I ate the top of the crust and threw away the rest. I bought a chick'n and broccoli one as well, but I will not be eating in order to preserve my love of pot pies and broccoli. I don't know where I'm going with this. I just wanted a late night pot pie snake, but what I had was instead a pot pie disappointment.

The story of how I ruined my lunch
Let me tell you a story... It was lunch and I was wandering through the frozen aisle when the Beefy Cheddar pot pie caught my eye amongst all the other frozen pies. I grabbed myself a beefy cheddar as well as a chicken and vegetable just in case I was still hungry. Fast forward, and I'm headed to the microwave with visions of a tasty handheld treat in my head when realize I my potpie is not only meatless but dairy-free (I'm not a vegetarian). But, I'm committed and the picture on the box looks great. I'm not one to discriminate against vegetarian options. Two minutes and a “ding” later my pie is on a plate. While still wary of this "meatless wonder" I pick up my pot pie. The top peels off. It was like a scene from a B horror movie where someone loses their face. Staring back at me from my plate around the crust top in my hand was a wet looking predigested lump wrapped in remainder of the dough. I channeled my inner cannibal, girded my loins, replaced the missing half of the crust and took a bite anyway. According to those that witnessed this consumption, I made a face that was "interesting". Needless to say I bought two and the second one joined the first in the trash without even taking it out of the wrapper.Would not recommend.

Run
Do not consume this. I'm a meat eater, but feel bad for the planet. Anytime I can pound 500 calories and keep an animal alive I'll give it shot. But this tasted like the soy product was marinated in used Marbolo Red 100s. If your looking to go vegan keep searching. Make a nice veggie stir fry. One bite of this and you will slaughter the first cow you see. You won't even eat the cow. That will be the level of your rage.
