The printer does not print! It also does not work on Windows 10. I switched it to a widows 8 computer, but I have tried everything, the printer just locks at printing, says it's busy when I try to even align printheads. Windows has no answers. I recommend trying every used electronic within the return time!

Subject product was bought used from Computzoutlet in San Jacinto, CA. I dont recommend this seller as he completely botched things up. He sent my order to another customer, I received that order. He had the customer that received my order send it to me but that person delayed in sending it by nearly a week. The only reason why I didnt rate him lower than 3 stars in my feedback is because he was proactive and refunded my shipping fee without my demanding it. He let me know there was a problem before I was supposed to receive the subject product. Also, the subject product arrived in a dirty condition, it was all dusty and the installation CD was filthy! I couldnt even use it in the condition I received it! I had to clean it before it would work in my computer. Also the front access door was not attached, I had to struggle to replace it! I dont understand how he, who claims to be a reputable businessman, can let a product go out in such condition? I deal on ebay and would never be so shoddy in sending a product out in a condition such as this! It's disrespectful of the customer! He's probably some stoner, working out of his parents' garage! The saving grace is the guy tried to make things right, without my prompting him, and apologized profusely for the mistakes he made. Or this would be a one-star rating!Anyway the printer is ok, I dont do a lot of printing and didnt want to invest in a brand new all-in-one. This seemed like a good deal. The printer works fine, in all functions, albeit a little slow. If you're expecting a fast printout, this may not be for you. If you dont mind waiting a few seconds for things to happen, then this will work fine. The alignment is off some, but that could be due to age of the unit, I dont need pristine printouts, so I'm not really anal about quality here. Bottom line is, if you dont want a fast, printer, but want a cheap scanner that will print and make copies, too, this is a good unit for that. The scanning software is very good, and easy to use. The replacement ink cartridges are among the least expensive, about $30 for both of them. The ink cartridges sent w the unit are almost full and did work fine. I dont know if this will last 15 years as my last printer did, but it seems somewhat sturdy and simple. Not much can go wrong with it.

Quality HP Technology in a small footprint; versatile, simple installation, and plain language support/manuals. Functionally, scanning, printing, and copying speeds are quite sufficient for the home or small office workstation, that produce excellent Print, Graphics, and Photos. Users should be prepared to purchase additional Ink Cartridges, preferrably in the more cost-efficient XL versions, as standard-size Cartridges are more suited to the Casual User. Researching and procuring a CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) to supplant the normal Cartridge compliment would be a significant overall savings in terms of Ink useage.

Wow! This HP Desktop 1056 All in one Printer is excellent. My former printer did not scan, only printed. I recommend this particular model and the company that sold it to me as listing a very reasonable price for brand new merchandise and speedy delivery. It was shipped from Florida. Thank you so much.

I bought this to replace an HP PSC1510 which I had for years. This product was more difficult to operate, requiring more steps to accomplish a task than the 1510. I also could not send scanned items directly to iPhoto as I had with the 1510. After MANY hours on the phone AND online with HP service techs they claimed it was not compatible with my version of MAC despite the FACT that the user manual stated it was. I'm stuck with it but I'll never purchase another HP product again. I would not recommend this printer unless you plan to use it very little and time is not a concern.

I gave this to a friend as a friend, she simply loves it! It was very easy for her to install the printer and software in windows 7, she simply followed the directions, had it up and running in no time. Thank you Mr. Seller and Amazon for making it so easy to buy this printer as a gift and have it mailed directly to her.I would definitely buy another one again, I have a wireless printer in my wish list for purchasing at a later date!
