Cage Accessories for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K 4K Protector Rig with Cold Shoe Mount

Got this for my Black Magic Pocket 4K so I can attach accessories. I have mics, monitors, follow focus, and other things that this camera does not attach natively so you really need a cage for it.What I love about this cage:-It has two cold shoe mounts built in on top. Other brands do not have this. Other brands you need to spend $10 or more to add a cold shoe.-It has mounting holes on the bottom left where other accessories can be attached. I have an under-mount monitor arm that I use here. Other brands do not have this.- The battery door is completely protected from impact on the front with a metal bar. Other brands do not have this- The fit around the 4K camera is good, similar to other brands. I have not tried the 6K but I understand they are the same size.- Has a magnetic spot for the allen wrench to remove the cage in the field.What could be improved about this cage:- The metal parts are not as rounded in some areas where the camera is held. They are mostly smooth around the edges but might make your hands tired if you held for a long time with just the cage. I don't use this camera handheld so this is not an issue for me. Consider adding side handles if you do plan to handhold.-The CFast/SD Card door bumps into the cage a little. It does not affect the operation of the door but the tolerances could be improved by a few mm in future designs. Minor complaint really as it does work just fine.Overall there is no reason not to get this cage, with two cold-shoe mounts you can attach almost anything, it has plenty of mounting holes top and bottom, and is very sturdy and well made. I would not hesitate to attach heavier items like a battery or monitor.

for those looking for a great value alternative to Tilta or Smallrig, this cage can serve that happy medium. Solid Metal Construction, fits the camera snug but not too tight to scratch it, lots of mounting points and two cold shoe mounts! Even works with a Smallrig top handle.Some minor drawback might be:1. No built in NATO Rail.2. Not many first party accessories.I don't use many NATO accessories so this is not much of an issue for me and it looks like it will work with lots of 3rd Part accessories.Overall good product!

It feels well Made..quality Is decent, Is just that i tried It out on my zhiyun crane 2 AND It feels very heavy..not what i need It..

This is by far the best BMPCC4K/6K cages we have used so far. The build quality is phenomenal and less expensive than other similar ones in the market. We highly recommend it.

I recive this fotowelt cage and accessories for the Bmpcc 4k camera and I am surprised with the quality and well done engineering in this cage vs the competition. The first thing is the ssd mount have other use. Not only hold the ssd, have a cold shoe holder for mount Microphones, lights, monitors any thing you want. The side cable holder is great is spring loaded and the only thing you have to do is tide the screws to hold your cable in place is great. You have other cold shoe holder and a lot of 1/4 mount hole's for put any setup in your cage.
