It just takes a little practice
This a great product and it works well in my Ruger LCP, which has no factory safety. Don't get me wrong, it certainly isn't as easy as a safety switch or button, but to me it is the lesser of two evils. And I really can't completely understand the trouble some claim to be experiencing when trying to remove it. I will admit it takes a little practice after honing a technique that works best for you, but to me it a lot better than carrying a safety-less pistol.Except for folks who might be unusually weak in the hands and fingers, I don't see why this trigger stop wouldn't work and work well for anyone who wants the enhanced safety and is willing to spend a few minutes learning how to dislodge it in a hurry. I had no trouble learning to do it reliably with one hand.In the end, every individual will just have to decide if they are willing to live with the trade off. Outside of the military, I personally know more people who were shot by accident than were attacked and shot by an enemy assailant - MANY more actually. Several accidentally shot themselves and several were accidentally shot by friends. My life-long best friend managed to accidentally shoot himself in the stomach and lived. A close co-worker shot himself in the arm and torso while taking his rifle out of the closet. He lived but the bullet entered his body in three different places and exited in two before lodging in a rib. I have a close friend who is missing an eye after his brother accidentally discharged a pellet gun in his direction, and I once knew another one-eyed person this had happened to. I have a friend who accidentally killed his best friend in high school with what he thought was a toy gun. My grandfather's best friend had shot and killed his own best friend when a shotgun discharged accidentally. My own father accidentally discharged an unfamiliar and "unloaded" shotgun through the ceiling and roof of his friend's home with several kids in attendance. There are several others who lived and died, but I'm sure by now you get the point. Therefore, protecting myself and those around me from accidental discharge is always my top priority, and I say this trigger stop was money well spent. I bought 3 and can't wait to see if they will work as well in some other guns.UPDATE: Sorry folks. I have now tried these in every other gun I own and they didn't work in a single one of them. I can therefore safely say that this particular trigger stop appears to be a Ruger LCP exclusive product. The good news is that I am still very satisfied with it for my LCP.

Does What It Is Supposed To Do, But.....
I hope this review isn't too "tortured," but this product gives me a lot of "on the other hands." Aside from carrying the weapon without a round in the chamber, this product does appears to be the best option if one values "safety" above all. However on the other hand - the Ruger LCP has an approximate 6 lb., relatively long trigger pull. In my opinion, this in-and-of-itself works against an accidental discharge. I'm just not sure how likely it might be to accidentally discharge a Ruger LCP by somehow inadvertently pulling the trigger during carry or the draw process. It seems VERY unlikely to me, but I bought this product anyway just to check it out. After playing with the item for awhile, I'm still not sure whether I'll actually use it. My main issue has to do with the product being described as a "quick release" trigger stay. I just wonder if - when the chips are down - that release will be quick enough. I find the trigger stay to be moderately difficult to install and remove. The product description points out one "benefit" to this is that it gives the gun owner time to come up with Plan B if your weapon falls into the hands of a bad guy. I think I'd rather have a Plan A - being able to rapidly put rounds down range in a confrontation situation - than a Plan B which consumes precious seconds which might be vital to my survival.I suppose the bottom line is how one personally balances "safety" when carrying concealed versus the need to quickly deliver that first round down range on target. This product definitely enhances safety - I'm just not sure by how much and at what price. I can easily see a situation where the added safety it provides could result in a severely negative outcome for the product user in a real "pinch."Basis for my rating: For product design, I give this one 5 stars. For "ease of operation" and practical usefulness, I give it 3 stars. Average: 4 stars overall.

Gun feels safer in my pocket
I got this for my Ruger LCP that I carry in my pocket with one in the chamber. As a former police officer I know that an automatic without a round in the chamber is just and expensive rock to throw when you are unexpectedly in a situation where you need to draw your weapon. Like most pocket .380 pistols, it does not have a safety. While the trigger is sufficiently hard to pull, the thought of an accidental discharge by my finger or keys crossed my mind many times. This is a great solution. It is even easier to poke out with your finger when needed than throwing off a safety on most guns and it provides protection from accidentally shooting yourself in the leg if you forget and shove your keys down in the wrong pocket and pull them out.

I am pleased with the product
I purchased the Trigger Stop for use with my Ruger LCP 380 Custom handgun for pocket and/or ankle carry. I am pleased with the product. The leaflet that came with the product suggest pushing it out with one's index finger; however, I found it was much easier with pushing it out with one's thumb. While using the index finger it is much slower and sometimes I need the assistance from both hands but I can safely push it out with only my thumb without assistance within one second (or less). All in all, it serves its purpose.

Nice Little Product!
These little things are the easiest trigger guards I have found. It's rubber is soft enough to place in the space behind the trigger, but dense enough to keep the trigger from being pulled - either accidently or by little hands that shouldn't be touching the weapon at all. And although it takes a little effort, I haven't had any real problems popping the trigger guard out when I practice draw.Of course it doesn't provide the same level of safety and security of a traditional cable gun lock, but is perfect for that little extra measure of safety for your everyday carry firearm.
