Ikea Clock Decorative Alarm Battery Operated 3"

Decent cheap clock tells time on one battery
Lot's of conflicting opnions on this, so here's my two cents worthSize: Good, just shy of 3" X 3 "Quality: very durable plastic, I carry mine around but the buttons may be flush enough that they won't break off like other clocks of this typeVisibility: nice sized screen for the size, no lightHands: no second hand, but difference between hour and minute arms is easy to see for me- no problemalarm: standard obnoxious alarm sound but I don't use it so cant' say much morefunction: has kept time accurately for that last 24 hours.Noise: there's a little tick but it's much quieter than other clocks of this type that I own.I gave it 4 stars because the single AA battery was a pain in the @$$ to put it. Very tight, but at least it's solid and won't knock around.I would rather pay 99 cents for it (as other have noted Ikea is selling them for at the store) but it's decent for $5.99

Great little clock!
Perfect for that little space where a clock is nice to have, but not be too conspicuous. I didn't buy it for the alarm or the travel aspect...just an extra little clock that blends into the background but is there when you need it. I understand some reviewer's points about the alarm indicator confusing the reading and the ticking sound it makes. But I just set the alarm at 6:00 so I know where it is, and I don't use the clock by the bed.If I need a travel/alarm clock, I use this little fold-up digital Timex I bought probably close to 20 years ago that still works perfectly off the original set of batteries. Don't know if you can still get anything similar.Anyway, I liked this little clock so much I went back to Amazon to buy a second one! Sure can't beat the price!

It IS half the price at IKEA *if* u feel like braving the store
My fave lil clock. Clean lines, fits anywhere, about the size of the palm of your (ladies) hand. 1AA battery needed. It IS half the price at IKEA *if* u feel like braving the store. I bought my 1st one (from IKEA) 5 years ago, used in the bathroom to get me to work on time, so lasted quite awhile. The 1st one I had did occasionally gain time, so not the most accurate, but I just reset it every couple months. This one from Amazon may not do that.

good enough for me
i love this little clock. it keeps time well and it just looks so cute. i can't comment on the alarm feature because i don't use it but i do use this little clock in my bathroom to help keep me on time when i'm getting ready in the morning. i can see the numbers and time just fine. even from across the room but i can see how someone who might not have the best eyesight would have a hard time seeing what time it is, because the numbers are rather little and the hands would probably be hard to tell apart. But i'm happy with it and it works perfect for me

It is elegant, but ..
Pros:InexpensiveModern styling, differentCons:BIG case (7.4cm x 7.4cm x 3.6cm) -does NOT fit in my "one/ two days" travel kitDifficult to read dial -in low light the blue alarm-hand looks "black" - I painted it bright-red with nail polishOn-Off switch difficult to read -I put a red nail polish dot near the "On"-positionNo easy way to tell if the "alarm" is set 'on'Battery not easily insertedNo SNOOZENo dial illumination lightNo second hand to indicate if the clock is actually running

Poor Design
See the blue alarm hand in the picture? Mine looks just like the hour hand. It's not easy to tell the time in semi-darkness, or semi-wakefulness. You should be able to tell if the alarm is on just by looking at a clock. You shouldn't have to pick it up and turn it round. A light would be useful. So would a snooze button. But it is an attractive little clock and our cockatiels like the noise it makes.

Great little clock
Looks exactly like the picture. The quality is fine for the price. The battery will be tough to take out, but hopefully this will not be an issue for several months. Other reviewers are correct - this little clock is loud. Not a biggie to me as it sits on my work desk. But this would be an issue if it was on my nightstand.

Not What I Wanted
I purchased this specifically as a ticking clock. Its tick is so quiet that you cannot hear it unless your ear is right up next to it. Its alarm is also not super loud. Overall a very quiet clock. Perfect if that's what you're looking for Unfortunately however I'm not. The battery compartment does not fit a battery well I cannot get the cover on with a battery inside.
