Jack Murphy Stockton Men's Long Waterproof Coat

When this coat first arrived I was a bit unsure if I liked the material its outer surface is made of and whether it would be up to the job of replacing my "standard" everyday coat. My concerns have completely gone away now.I have just come back from 1 hour and 45 minutes of walking on the beach in constant winds of 20-30 mph. It was like standing in front of a full body hair dryer. This coat kept all of the wind out and I was as warm as toast.As another reviewer has said the pockets are in a "sensible" position and it was very comfortable walking along the sand with hands in them. And when I was not holding my hat down, my hands warmed almost instantly when put in them.The spattering of rain that came down just bounced off and I will see how it fares in extended heavy rain tomorrow morning.I will be using this as my "normal" coat now.James.

What a find! I needed to replace a very old and leaky Berghaus rainproof. I wanted a long rainproof coat this time rather than the much easier to find mid-length ones. After a lot of searching at all price levels, I found this one and chose an L rather than XL because I didn't want it touching the ground.( I am 42" chest and 5ft 8in tall ) The size is generous and the length is perfect. It is really well made - padded but not heavily and will be useable year-round when walking the dog in the rain etc. It is genuinely rainproof and the droplets roll away brilliantly so it dries off quickly. The fabric used is really smart and not at all synthetic looking. We have had an awful lot of rain since it was delivered so it has been well tried. I am delighted.

My husband likes this coat. At first we thought it was a little wide around the legs, however, when he wrapped a strap around each leg it looked much better; the arm length is also good as he has long arms and they fit well. he still has to use wear it, hence the four star rating. I was surprised to see it is quilted on the upper body, as I thought it would be like mine and have the traditional checked liming. this is good for those cold days though. The service has been good and I had no need to contact the seller.Many thanks.

We had ordered what we thought was the correct size but it was much too large. After contacting the supplier we then ordered the correct size which fits perfectly. It was for my husband's Christmas but since we live in Cumbria it seemed appropriate to let him wear it now! It is windproof and waterproof and a superb length to keep him warm and perfectly dry in spite of what the jet stream is throwing at us at the moment. And incidentally I would recommend the supplier 100 per cent. Thank you

Excellent coat - I'm 42" chest & ordered Large - perfect. Its a generous fit but I don't like to feel constricted and with the full length its just perfect for winter/wet weather. I received the coat next day, however, I did experience a problem engaging the zip. I phoned Trekwear and spoke to Lynette who could not have been more helpful (I was treated as a valuable customer, not a nuisance!). A replacement was sent that day, which I received next day. I cannot speak highly enough of the coat or the customer service at Trekwear. Fantastic.

Excellent quality and style, my husband loves it. I perhaps should have gone for a XXL rather than a 3XL as it is on the large size but my husband (6ft 2" and 17 Stone) is able to wear a coat under if needed. Overall very happy with my purchase and delivery but would have preferred packaging to be I a box rather than a plastic bag as it was a present.

Have worn this coat 5 days a week for circa 5 months now and am delighted with it. I’m 6’ 3” tall and the overall length of this coat has protected me and my work suits well from the elements. The sleeves length is generous and the corduroy collar is a thoughtful detail. With its lined upper body section I’ve found it to provide just the right insulation and warmth.

Just what I was looking for. Well designed hood, keeps the rain off your legs and really is waterproof. Minor niggle is that it is prone to water seeping through the under-arm ventilation and wetting the inner lining of the sleeves when out in driving rain or during heavy rain over a prolonged period. In periods of high activity, condensation can build up. Dries quickly when hung up inside-out. Very pleased with this purchase - excellent value.
