Maps are given because well, it is a book of maps. The publisher didn't worry how handy and useful this book can be - which is little. The size of the book is big but the size of the maps is inadequate. There is a lot of general information which you can find on internet - and yes some ads are there for free too! This book overall is of no use to me neither as a general interest nor when you take it out on a drive.Recommendation: avoid this book and save money.
