Dap Xhose PRO The Original Expanding Hose with Black Solid Brass Fittings, 75-Feet X Hose (75 Ft. Xhose)

This is the 2nd 75-foot DAP Xhose PRO that I ordered via Amazon within 4 months. Both leaking after light usage at the exact same place.The first one started leaking between the brass fitting for the hose bib and the hose after 2 months of very light use. We extend the hose to water plants twice per week ... always very gently letting it expand and letting it contract completely before hanging on the DAP hose hangar.The second one started leaking in THE SAME SPOT after 6 weeks. This, during late fall in Northern California, where I used the host thrice per month at the most. So, I used the hose about 3-4 times and I should expect a leak at the same junction?We have 50-foot DAP Xhose PROs on the side yard and front yard and they've been trouble-free for 9 months with the same usage pattern. Meanwhile we've been through two 75-foot DAP Xhose PROs in the back yard with the same usage and leaks at the same joint.And, of course, they started leaking after the Amazon return window. So now I'm stuck to waste my time trying to fight with the seller or the manufacturer to get a return/refund/replacement on these?Never again. They're light. But I'm not willing to spend over $200 per year on light hoses that are used lightly and fail quickly.

have tried this hose a couple of times because of the ease of "put away" when it is empty. But, I have had several of them "spring a leak". I'm very careful with them...followed the directions... but not having any success. I've seen similar reviews, and I have to concur. I like the brass fittings...but it doesn't last. :(

This expanding hose is much better than the original which only had plastic fittings. The one we had with plastic fittings only lasted a few months before it started leaking at one of the plastic fittings.

This hose is lightweight and much easier to store than a typical garden hose which usually kinks and gets tangled.However it only lasted 2 months before it exploded. Probably my fault because it has to be fully expanded before turning water on.If you follow the directions very carefully each time it is used it may have lasted longer.

Although this item is an innovative idea there are many glitches in its construction. It blows holes and leaks after just a few uses and is not worth the price. Until the manufacturer corrects the defects I cannot reccomend it to anyone. I am very disappointed as it seemed to be a great solution for people who cannot manage a long and heavy hose.

At first use the hose performed great. After one month of use, when it was too late to return it, it failed. It began to leak badly about one inch from the brass fitting. I would not recommend this product to any one.

Great hoses so far. Love the brass fittings.

These hoses are just awesome. You might see negative feedback from some but I expect that it is because they leave the hose pressurized when not in use. I have 6 of these hoses at our horse barn and we water the horses with them every day. We take them on our Horse Trips and have never had a blow out, but again we use the hose and shut it off when not in use.Now for something AWESOME. This hose does NOT Freeze or at least it has not yet. We have a lot of trouble with water hoses freezing the the winter, but because this hose contracts it has not frozen yet. The little bit of water left in the hose does freeze but then when you turn on the water and the hose expands the water flows right past any ice in the hose.Awesome hoses.!!
