Excel FES418 Silver 18" x 2.15" 32 Hole Takasago Rim

TIP # 1: The white label on the side of the new rim should be on the disk brake side of the hub.Pay attention to the direction of the rim unless you want to re-lace all over again when you discover the spokes are not straight when you get finished. Mine were bowed and I had to do some research on internet sites and found this tip after many hours of searching. My free tip to you to save you time. You are welcome!!No where is this mentioned to the DIY'er. Not on the website or with the rim. No instructions were included.TIP # 2: Rim to disk brake Offset measurement is 24mm not stock measurement in Service Manual of 19mmAlso the stock offset of 19mm is not correct measurement with this rim. The rim is 10mm narrower than the stock DID rim so the offset is affected by half of that amount so it should total 24mm from edge of rim to inner edge of disk brake rotor.Otherwise great product would recommend, trued right up and looks nice and shiny.

I wanna give 5 stars here, i love excel. However the rim was a lil oval shaped right out of the box & took extra time to true & lace than it should of(mostly to true). Been hammering it daily for almost 3 months now though & she's still true & pretty. So in the end i still love it, probably do the front as an identical setup next weekend.
