ACCUSPLIT AX602 PRO MEMORY (100) 3 LINE DISPLAY Stopwatch with STROKE RATE (Fluorescent Yellow)

Now that we have this stopwatch working, my husband loves it. However, when it arrived, the battery was dead, and the case was incredibly hard to open. The stopwatch, when new, has a 5 year limited warranty, and this product was being sold as NEW. I guess NEW simply meant it had never been open and used by someone. However, when we received the package, the warranty was already 2 1/2 years expired, which I feel should have been disclosed before shipping. I feel this product should have been drastically discounted being I will have to pay out of pocket for any warranty issues that arise, even though we have only had this stopwatch for 2 months. This was a birthday gift for my husband so he could use it at the gym, and though it took some hard work to get it back to working condition, he loves the features of this stopwatch. We would not recommend this seller, nor will we purchase anything from them again. The rating given is more in regard to the working product than the integrity of the seller.

I have purchased several stopwatches, they typically last for years, the AX602 died after a half season of swim, AX602 feels cheap, I would recommend skipping this watch.

Love this watch. Nice "throw" on the buttons, the recall is very simple to use.

This is a great stopwatch. Accusplits are the best.

I bought this for our Dragon Boat team captain and steersman to use and it seems appropriate.

Works very well for cycle time in manufacturing facility.

I first bought the AX725 and loved the quality and ease of use. However, since it only has memory for 16 laps and I really need at least 20, I opted to buy the AX602 with the 100 lap memory, clock and stroke functions. It is functionally rich. Unlike the AX725 which does not show the running time and the cumulative time until I press the lap button, this one shows the lap, cumulative and running split times at all times. Additionally, when I review the lap times after stopping the watch, I can see the laps from the beginning rather than from the end. Unfortunately, the quality of this AX602 stopwatch is inferior to the AX725 though. The plastic feels brittle and cheap and the buttons feel slightly loose and rock when I touch them. There is also a mechanical clicking noise whenever I press the button. I much prefer the feel of the AX725 with its smooth buttons and translucent body.My least favorite feature is the the 5-Year No-Proof-Of-Purchase Limited Warranty. The warranty date stamp at the back had already expired in September, 2012! How can that be when I just purchased the stopwatch so I should have a 5-year warranty starting yesterday!!!??? The manufacturer stamped the warranty expiration date on the back of each watch so customers do not need to have proof of purchase (a good idea since we don't always save our receipts). However, in my case, this stopwatch obviously sat on the shelf for many years and even bypassed the warranty expiration date! I called Accusplit and the representative reassured that it would be either the warranty date at the back or 5 years since the purchase date, whichever is later. I am still skeptical but will give this the benefit of the doubt.One last thing, the picture shows a golden yellow but the actual color is more of a greenish yellow...definitely more fluorescent yellow than shown in the picture.
