You definitely get what you pay for! I knew when I purchased these, they were quite cheaply priced; I am not a professional and only need them for minor trim jobs on one small dog, so I wasn't too concerned. These scissors have become too dull to cut anything after less than 5 uses. I do not mean 5 full dog trims, I mean I cut a few hairs around her paws or face!!I would absolutely recommend buying elsewhere, these are junk! .....I can't even use them as junk drawer scissors now! They won't even cut a sheet of paper.

I purchased the combo pack of 2 scissors, the regular rounded scissor and the thinning scissor. After waiting for the delivery for a month...I am disappointed with the thinning pair. They are difficult to open and close and they do not cut my dog's fur...they are dull ! I guess I'll keep looking...but not a happy camper...

The scissors are very sharp and work well. I'm new at grooming my monster. It costs more than my hair cut and takes months to get in even pre-pandemic. So, I started experimenting. I only use the trimming pair right now. I'll move to the thinning shears later.The cons for me:Not comfortable in my handsNot as sturdy as I envisioned.I would buy them again but I will probably try a different brand as I progress in my grooming abilities.

I am disappointed with these and myself for not having returned them during the return window. The screw in the middle of the scissors came loose and needed to be adjusted during use. I didn’t think it was such a huge issue until they came off one pair of scissors and the 3 parts flew everywhere. I cut by dog’s hair outside so the screw and washer rolled off the concrete and into my woodchip-filled garden never to be seen again.

The ACTION of each (the opening and closing of the blades) is rough... like metal on metal... something needs to smoothed or filed down better. The ACTION is not smooth and quiet was one would expect to experience with scissors ... particularly pet scissors.

I bought these mainly for the thinning scissors. When I used them on our dog, I noticed no hair was actually getting cut. I tried them on paper and the only place it cut the paper was the inch or so closet to the handle - which isn't very useful for thinning scissors. As others noted, the thumb holes are very small. My thumb fit in, but rubbed when cutting. Needless to say, I've packaged them up and will be dropping them off for a refund.

I bought the set that included the round-tip scissors and the curved scissors. Very pleased with my purchase! I use them to groom two not very cooperative Shih Tzus, and I appreciate the comfort while holding the scissors and squirmy dog. The curved scissors are excellent for all-over grooming while the round-tip pair allow me to trim their faces and paw pads safely. Both are very sharp so I can easily snip away and get the job done quickly, which my dogs appreciate very much!

The screw fell out one day for the eye scissors. Thought maybe it just loosened up, nope. This is after about 5 uses of just trimming the pups face. Went to screw it back together and it never got tight. Tested it out… chop chop chop, and screw was falling out again.Update: seller replaced scissor with stripped screw. Added a star. Thanks again.

Don’t fit my fingers and my hands are not large at all.

These scissors work well and are safe with the rounded tops, especially for for wiggles puppies
