this is one of the cheapest pipes I own and is one of the best pipes I own it has almost zero tongue bite and it's comfortable to smokeand I own many pipes many times more expensive than this one this is a good pipe but note it has no filter and my preference is pipes with no filter

Say what you want but this is a great value pipe. A very soft stem that may or may not last a very long time but I like it. It is kind of soft and feels good between your teeth. It is not a really big pipe so it is not all that heavy in your mouth like some other ones. This would be a great pipe to smoke another kind of tobacco in. I use mine with regular Lane tobacco but if one wanted to smoke the green type tobacco this would be a good one to do so in. How do i know that ? Many years ago I used to partake. It stays lit very well and the tobacco burns nice and slow in it. its basically already broke in. I have a good few other pipes that are quite a bit more expensive and this one is a much better value. the only thing I do not like is the gold ring around the middle where the stem goes into the wood on the pipe. No need in it and it does not look so good to me. No negatived about this pipe and I have been smoking it for a while now.

Overall, this is a pretty decent pipe. Most "big brand" churchwardens start at $90 and go up from there. However, there are a couple flaws that prevent me from giving it 4 or 5 stars.1. The stem is extremely tight and difficult to remove for cleaning. It is so tight that there is a very real danger of breaking it when trying to remove.2. The little metal "stinger" insert in the stem gets very hot and melts the acrylic stem. This makes it even MORE difficult to remove, see #1 above.3. The stain bleeds out of the wood on the inside of the shank. I'm sure this will abate with time, but for now, it comes off on the cleaning materials (staining them) and presents a potential concern.This is almost a great pipe. Fixing these few things would make it one of the best value churchwarden pipes I'm aware of.

Extra long stem aids in producing a cool smoke, but requires non-standard pipe cleaners.

This is my first pipe and I am completely satisfied with the build, look and performance of my purchase. It took me a couple weeks to figure out how much tobacco to use, since I assumed that I should completely fill the bowl, which is on the small side. I've been using it for a couple months now and through trial and error, I found that when I fill the bowl to the brim, the tobacco at the bottom is really bitter, so I now put in a small amount at one time and enjoy a wonderful smoke for the amount of the fill. I'm very glad this pipe has a small bowl because it suits my preference for this way of smoking. I use a natural tobacco that has no typical pipe "flavors", ie: chemicals, so I am getting a true taste with this pipe. I'm very satisfied with everything about this pipe. I was told I look like Gandolph the Gray while smoking it, kind of cool, but I'm more concerned with performance, but if someone want to see me as a wizard, then that's just fine by me...Also, being of Polish heritage, I'm happy to see quality products coming from the home of my grandmother, good job Mr Brog.

I love this pipe, it smokes really smoothe (no filter) and you can really taste the tobacco. The bowl is a good size and it is sturdy, but the stem is thin plastic and it has broke near the mouth piece already (I am deployed so it has been tossed around quite a bit, tape works fine and I am sure locktite will fix that right up). It also cracked at near the end of the stem when cleaning it (pipe cleaners only). The little metal piece that sits at the end of the stem came out (still goes back in but still cracked). Again I am deployed and I take the stem out of the bowl after just about every use for easier carrying in my pocket. So I would reccomend this pipe to anyone as long as they handle it with a little more care.

This is a great pipe. I bought it for a little “just because” gift for my boyfriend. He loves it! The only thing negative I have to say is that when I received the pipe, the box was smashed pretty badly and it looked like someone had torn into the box before I received the item. However the pipe wasn’t damaged. This situation would have been much worse if it was purchased for a bigger occasion and the box needed to look pristine too. That’s my reasoning for the 4 star review, otherwise 5 stars!

Great pipe and love the style. I bought the Black Rusticated Churchwarden style.Kind of a spontaneous buy for me. Few things I noticed that some may want to know.- no filter option except for the included 'stinger metal filter' which I wouldn't really consider a filter. So you dont have any other filter options unless your super creative or want to stuff some cotton in there.- because of the design and the stinger in place, this pipe will start to gurgle a bit due to moisture collection.Other than that, pull the stinger, smoke it filter free, and it's a wonderful pipe.

Stiamo parlando di una pipa in pero, realizzata però estremamente bene considerato il basso costo. Non si può davvero trovare di meglio allo stesso prezzo. Ovviamente se confrontata a pipe in radica di qualità mostra tutti i suoi limiti, ma costa pure 1/10 di una churchwarden in radica di ottima fattura.Consigliatissima.

Man sollte keine große Erwartungen haben. Aber.... siehe oben.

Ayant cassé ma dernière pipe avec le mauvais réflexe de taper le foyer dans le creux de la main en la tenant par le bec de l'autre main, j'ai donc chercher une remplaçante mais je ne voulais pas trop dépenser sur le coup ( la précédente de qualité s'est vite cassée...) . De plus je cherchais une pipe avec un style à l'ancienne, comme les marins ou les Hobbits, mais le prix de beaucoup de pipes même de première qualité n'arrivait pas à me convaincre...Je tombe sur cette pipe élégante en poirier pour 19,99€, j'ai hésité, en pensant qu'elle serait peut-être fragile, mais comme c'était la forme que je recherchais, pour ce prix, pourquoi pas...Et je ne suis pas déçu, elle est vraiment, je le redis élégante et a vraiment un certain style quand on l'a en main ! De plus le foyer en poirier donne de belles couleurs au bois et une odeur d'arbres fruitiers s'en dégage légèrement. Le foyer a bien pris lors des premiers allumages et elle est bien plus solide que je le croyais au départ !Mais attention comme toute pipes au long bec, il y a forcément une certaine fragilité (au niveau du raccord avec le foyer) à cause de la longueur du bec justement, ce qui est logique !! Donc si vous la taper d'un coup sec pour en faire sortir les cendres ne vous plaignez pas, ce n'est pas la faute de la qualité de l'objet mais bien de votre force si vous avez votre pipe en deux morceaux dans les mains...Donc pour avoir la class à l'anglaise et vous faire remarquer dans le carré fumeur à petit prix, n'hésitez pas !PS: Pour éviter les problèmes de propagation de feu, il ne faut jamais la bourrer entièrement lors des premières utilisations, ne remplissez que un petit 1/3 au début puis 2/3, puis 3/3 car un feu trop important sur une pipe neuve peut l'enflammer ! Il faut laisser ainsi l'intérieur se carboniser légèrement et progressivement pour qu'une certaine couche protectrice (du bois noir brûlé) se forme dans le foyer et empêche par la suite la propagation de la braise du tabac vers le bois de la pipe qui pourrait vous brûler les doigts !! Evitez aussi de ramoner trop souvent le foyer avec des outils durs, la couche protectrice en serait abimée, sinon pour le bec les tiges cure pipes marchent très bien.
