I ordered 4 of these in "rustic" finish for my windowsill herb garden. I knew I was going to need to stain them (I used Watco 65351 Danish Oil Wood Finish, Pint, Black Walnut) so I was prepared for that. The finished product looks perfect and although these aren't amazingly sturdy, I don't plan to be moving them around much now that they're in place so I have no concerns. The plastic liners are thin but so far are doing a fine job of keeping the water from compromising the wood. That said, if you need a planter that can withstand moderate to heavy use and lots of jostling, these probably aren't sturdy enough to suit.

I bought this to grow cat grass; I didn't like the containers that were being sold for the purpose on the market and thought this was a tasteful alternative. It's a good size and color and is made with a lightweight wood. The plastic liner is great because watering the grass won't ruin the box.

I dislike leaving negative reviews about a product, I will admit that I should have paid closer attention to dimensions before purchase - this is why I have added an extra star as opposed to just leaving one. Beyond the size, which I will take responsibility for - the quality of the wood feels flimsy and I just can't bring myself to use it for anything. As of now it is sitting on my table while I try to find a use for it. Perhaps it could be of better use to someone else, but I just expected a bit sturdier of a product. I am keeping it, as it is partially my own fault, but I won't be ordering anything else like this.

I ordered the white one. It’s barely white. I understand it’s rustic but it’s nothing like the picture. The insides and bottom are more white than the actual outside, which is pointless because that’s what shows. It’s darker on the outsides. I don’t understand this. It’s not that sturdy either. I wish I hadn’t purchased this...

For $13.99, I was expecting this to be better quality. It is very lightweight and extremely cheap looking. Arrived with the wood already splitting. Would’ve sent back except for I bought succulents a few weeks ago with the intention of planting them last week and I got Covid and can’t leave the house. I needed to get them planted so they don’t die. I could’ve bought a box from the dollar store and it probably would’ve been nicer than this one. Once I’m done with quarantine, I’m going to buy a new pot and Chuck this piece of crap in the trash.

I wanted to send flowers but couldn’t get Sunday delivery without an extra $25 charge (on top of the $17 “handling fee”). Enter this $13 amazon planter, a block of floral foam (also from Amazon) and $14 worth of flowers from Trader Joe’s. Boom. Done.My recipient LOVED them. DIY arrangement for less than $30 vs. a professional arrangement for $125. This box is not super sturdy, but it looks great and got the job done.

I love this planter. It fits perfectly on my porch rail. I bought it for a gift and I liked it so much I bought a second one for myself. It comes with a plastic liner so it won't leak. Perfect for a window sill or porch rail.

I love that this has a plastic liner. Note that the liner is thin, but it does its job. I added drain holes in the plastic liner, so when I water, I remove the plant and liner from the outer wood box. (I place the liner and plant in a bread pan to drain.)

This box is very small. It's actually tiny. It is about the same length as the distance from the tip of my thumb to my index finger. The picture makes it appear a lot larger than it is. You can probably buy something similar for $3 at a dollar store, which is where I suspect this likely came from.

Do not waste your money on this product. Very cheap looking and does not match the photo to showcase the item. The inside of the box looks like a mess.

I found it a little shallow. It didn't work for the plant I intended it for but will try it for something else.
