The best system for boat batteries
This Blue Sea fuse-on-battery system is the definitive answer to the ABYC and BOATUS requirement (adopted by reputable marine insurance companies) for having a fuse within 6-7” of the battery terminal. Too many casual boaters rely on those terrible terminal blocks with all the screws that attach right to the post - but where are the fuses? The Blue Sea fuse holder that goes with this fuse solves that problem elegantly and safely.The 30a fuse is the lowest-amperage one they offer but is fine for any size-24 deep-cycle house or small-engine starting battery. Remember you must have the 5191 fuse holder for this to work - DO NOT just drop fuse onto terminal and put the cables on top (fuse won’t protect like that).Be safe, not sorry; protect your batteries and your boat, and use this.

Purchased as a spare for the one I have
I'm using the Blue Sea Systems MRBF Surface and Terminal Mount Fuse Block as my fuse block for my DC/DC Charger cable, and I wanted to have a spare fuse "just in case". And I'm not going to find the terminal fuses, on the road, at just any auto parts store. These are sold, on Amazon, by Blue Sea Systems, but they are a BUSS fuse.Review specific to: 30A Blue Sea Systems Terminal Fuse

They make the setup easy. They are just really expensive for a fuse.
They work exactly as they should. I just wish they did not carry such a premium price tag.

Will withstand considerable compression
These are expensive for my applications but I was able to crank down several 2 AWG lugs and cables tightly withouyt risk of crushing.

Very good purchase
Wanted to fuse travel trailer at battery for additional safety. This fuse and holder were the perfect for the job. Price was reasonable and shipping was fast. Highly recommended.
