LEGO Friends Oivia's Beach Buggy

Our daughter loves LEGO Friends. She first saw them at a friends house and was instantly obsessed with them. We purchased the "Olivia's Tree House" Set for her for Christmas and it was a big hit. Since then, we have purchased several additional sets for her collection.The LEGO Friends Olivia's Beach Buggy Play Set comes with 94 pieces. It includes the Olivia character and a cool Off-Road Beach Buggy with big tires. The set also includes several beach related accessories like a coconut tree, a snack stand with fruits and treats and a surfboard. It is a nice little set with some great beach accessories that you can use with any other water themed LEGO Friends sets that you may have, or just use as a stand alone vehicle. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow and the recommended age is 5-12.One point of caution, the MSRP on the LEGO web site for this set is $9.99. If a set isn't Retired, you shouldn't have to pay much more than the MSRP. That is the going rate from WalMart/Target/LEGO and usually when Amazon is the seller. Some secondary Amazon retailers sell the Friends sets for much more so be careful if the seller isn't Amazon, especially around the holidays when Amazon sometimes sells out. Make sure to shop around.Long story short, this a cool beach vehicle set with fun and unique beach accessories that will be a great addition to your LEGO Friends collection. Highly Recommended!

Growing up, I loved legos so naturally I wanted my kids to love them too. Imagine the dismay when my daughter didn't show any interest in the duplo sets she had! Fast forward a year or two, and I decided to take a chance on getting her a few Lego Friends sets to gauge her interest. While my daughter is below the recommended age range of the Lego sets, this Beach Buggy was a great intro set to begin with. The theme is nice because the end product is a car that she can play with, and the number of steps to build the set is short enough that it keeps her interest. I still had to help her with a few of the small details because she didn't have the finger dexterity yet but this didn't discourage her at all.The other items add interest to the tropical theme, such as the tropical fruit stand with the pineapple and the palm tree with coconuts, but the main draw of the set is definitely the Olivia minifigure, surfboard, and car. A few hours after putting the set together, my daughter wanted to take it all apart and do it again!

This is probably my favorite of the $10 sets currently available. It comes with a little dune buggy, Olivia & her surfboard, a coconut palm tree, and a little fruit stand with a pineapple, popsicle, banana, and little 1x1 dots representing oranges and limes.The Olivia figure is nothing really special--I kind of wish Lego would make a wider variety of figures, since I think this is my fourth Olivia-- but she's a nice minidoll, dressed for a day of play at the beach.Overall, this set is a good value with some adorable and unique pieces! I love the pineapple & coconuts. The fruit stand opens up a lot of play options, the little dune buggy is a cute vehicle, and the palm tree is a nice decor piece (although I do wish they'd given it four palm fronds instead of just three; you have to move them just right or it looks funny).

Kind of irritating that Lego is putting out a whole new line for girls, but, oh well, that's an old battle and a long one and granddaughters gotta get what granddaughters want. The most surprising thing is how small this package is and how little product there is inside, but my 8-year-old granddaughter Georgia couldn't have been more thrilled when she ripped off the wrapping and found Olivia's Beach Buggy inside. The delight on her face merits the five stars, even if this granny's feminist sensibilities were bruised in the making of this memory.

I think these should really be aged differently, 5 is still too young to keep up with all these little pieces. Some of these pieces are so small that they are almost invisible. My brother played with LEGO pieces and parts for years and I don't remember them ever being this tiny!! Age 7 would be my recommendation!!

This item was purchased as one of a few Christmas gifts for my grandchildren. It came very well protected in the shipping box and it looks like a lot of fun for them to play with. I know Lego products are of excellent quality, as I have purchased many sets in past years and I know the children will have great fun and also be educated as they play. Thank you!!

My daughter and I enjoy building these sets together. LEGO is doing a wonderful job at creating playsets that are appealing to girls, and they offer sets that are interesting. My little girl loves to pretend she's a news reporter, pilot, and captain of a cruise ship thanks to sets in the Lego Friends series. Fortunately, the new Disney sets are designed identical, because it gives us an option to build, explore, and create.

Purchased as a gift for a 9 yr old girl. It was the perfect gift for her and her sister to play together. Plus who doesn't like legos?

This is a small set and I saw some complaints about that- but it's lego. They come in small boxes and for the price this has to be expected to be a small set.It was easy to set up for the 6 year old. She had a bit of difficulty with building the truck but was still able to accomplish it with a bit of help.It's a really cute set and the truck builds nice and actually rolls nicely as well. A great addition to her collection.

This is such a great little set of Lego! My little sister loves Lego friends and this little car is functional and fun to use! We also used these in goodie bags for her birthday party!

Small but mighty. We love this one as a new piece on our beach days. It is very easy to build.
