Hello - The pop beads are 1/2" across and 3/4" from end to end including the knob that fits in to the next bead.

Q: what chemicals are in plastic polyethylene that could be harmful to kids? BPA?

Our Pop Beads are manufactured and shipped in the US. The Pop Beads are tested and meet all US safety standards. There is no lead, no BPAs, no cadmium, they are tested and safe for children. Viv at Hey Viv !

The exact number will vary a bit depending on who the bracelet is for. I'm a medium-smallish adult, and for me it takes about 16 beads to make a bracelet that's fitted to the wrist but comfortable (with a little extra room to move) and about 20 beads to make a bracelet that I can slide easily on & off over my hand. -- Rachel at Hey Viv !
